"We stopped by Portillo’s today on our way back home from vacation. This is a fairly new restaurant for the Orlando area. Venue and atmosphere are top notch. The restaurant is much bigger than I was expecting and has a nice diner theme. The menu is classic “Chicago style” food like hotdogs, shakes, fries, burgers, salads, desserts and of course Italian beef sandwiches. On this trip my wife tried the Italian beer sandwich with sweet peppers. She enjoyed this sandwich. I tried the beef and cheese croissant. It was good, but just a note, if you don’t like extremely soggy sandwiches, don’t get the extra “gravy”. We also both ordered fries, which are nice and crispy. We highly recommend getting the cheese sauce with it. The staff were super friendly and we will definitely be back to try a few other things on the menu the next time we are in town."
"Met for lunch at the Portillo's location on Palm Parkway in Orlando and enjoyed some of their classic menu items including hot dogs, chocolate cake, and cheese fries. The hot dogs were delicious with that signature Portillo's snap from the natural casing. I added the standard mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes and sport peppers for the true Chicago style hot dog experience. The chocolate cake was dense and rich, with the right ratio of chocolate to cake. It was the perfect way to satisfy my sweet tooth after devouring those tasty hot dogs. The cheese fries were crispy on the outside and able to dunk in cheese sauce. The restaurant itself was clean and had that signature Portillo's charm that totally transported my taste buds to Chicago for awhile."
"Ate at Portillo's first in Chicago, was very excited to find it in Orlando. The VERY BEST Chicago style hot dogs anywhere. Tried the polish sausage my third time here and it was also great. Love the 50's style diner look. A manager came by each visit and asked about the food and service. My daughter and wife loved the hamburgers, juicy and fresh (not pre frozen) meat. mo"
"Excellent atmosphere and fast service. Vast menu and great savings for the cost. The food was good but nothing amazing. Good Polish hot dog. The Polish with beef, onion, and cheese sauce was good but the roll became soggy because of the beef juice. A firmer roll would have been better. Overall it was just OK for me."
