"Let me tell ya, I love Portillo’s, but I live in Deland and just don’t feel like driving all the way down to south Orlando when I have a hankering for a Chicago Italian Beef. So, I discovered the magestic deliciousness that is the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich at Dobro's Restaurant in Deland. HOLY WOW. Tender, savory roast beef piled betwixt fresh bread, adorned with giardiniera and peppers for a bit of kick, and au jus that just punctuated the flavor. Also, served with their house made chips which were a perfect pairing. It’s obvious that attention to detail and quality went into this deliciousness. Everything on their menu is excellent, but this right here is the highlight; for it is a moral imperative to consume this at some point in your life. This place is an absolute gem!"

"Decided to come here during a fun day out with my son (5) and I am so glad I did. The service is great, I ordered the Pasta Primavera with chicken, my son ordered the kids chicken tenders with waffle fries. His fries were crispy, chicken was tender, my pasta was amazing! Wonderful flavor. This will definitely be our new spot when in Deland!"

"I've known of this place for the better part of ten years, and have finally stopped in for a bite. We decided on the "Chicago Classic" which is pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and onions. Their menu lists this as "Deep Dish" but having grown up in Chicago and having eaten lots of pizza I would call this more of a pan pizza. We did order an app from the menu while our pizza was being cooked. We went with Chicago spinach dip, it was hot and flavorful the bread was thin and crisp, almost having a toasted sesame taste which was wonderful. From the time of placing our pizza order to being placed on our table was about 30 minutes. The sauce topping was chunky and slightly acidic but flavorful. The sauce did have a fair amount of onion, so if you don't like onions you might not enjoy their sauce. The crust was buttery and delicious. As you make your way from the crust towards the middle of a slice it becomes a bit soft, not the type of pizza you would pick up and eat. The toppings were delicious, especially their sausage which I would request extra sausage next time I order. On an overall scale of 10, I give Dobros a very solid 7 out of 10. Prices were very reasonable, pizza, app & drinks put our bill in the mid $30 price range. We left feeling full and satisfied."

"Tried Dobro's for the first time. Pretty good. No complaints. Ordered online for take out. Order was ready when they said it would be. The pizza, got a Classic Chicago and a Pepperoni. Both pretty good. Also got breadsticks and garlic butter sauce...this was ok. Not bad just not anything I'd feel I'd have to have again. All in all a pretty good experience."

"Place is definitely cozy and super packed. Parking is hectic and limited, makes it challenging. They should consider adding outside seating...pizza was descent, red sauce bit on the sweet side. Bread sticks are pretty good. The lasagna was ok."
