"WOW WOW WOW! Mayaki Izakaya definitely made an impression on us! We've lived in Davenport for four years now and have loved that the area keeps inviting all the awesome food we felt we left behind in Orlando. We found this suggestion in a FB group, and we're glad we kept our eyes peeled! We caught the restaurant in their soft opening, but it did not disappoint! Beware that they have almost an entire menu minus alcohol for the moment. We hope to catch them once full service is available. The atmosphere was great. Intimate, and really in the spirit of Japan. Quiet, cozy, and welcoming. The staff greeted us from the moment we came in. Johnny was our server, and he was awesome. Attentive and quirky with his casual conversation. Again, although they are in soft opening, the speed of food coming out was still good in time; and if any wait was experienced, it was well worth it. We started our round with drinks. Yuzu Lemonade, and a Stawberry Matcha Latte and WOW. So fresh! The curry, ramen, and everything else that followed was just as well prepared. Crisp, flavorful, and authentic. I can't wait for their official opening!"
