"The venue itself is quite nice. It’s nicely decorated and has a beautiful view of the lake. The server was kind enough and eventually very apologetic l. The food… as a group we ordered steak, fish, salmon, salads and more. The portions were small. ( I am not a big proportion guy so…) The food items were served on white plates that looked like something from a high school cafeteria. There was no intention to make a nice presentation. The items lacked flavor and freshness. Some were undercooked and some overcooked. The bread was not good. I would never go back. It’s a shame, because this place could be a hotspot with the right food."

"Christmas Day 1:00 buffet. $55 pp. plus tax and tip automatically applied at 20% Raw chewy- cold prime rib, ( meat carver must have worked on a commission. Little thin slices of prime rib. Maybe 3 oz. ) chicken something or another, pasta something or another. Cold dinner rolls ( out of a package?) Desserts not too special, pumpkin pie looked and tasted like it sat out at room temperature too long. Took another couple for their first time ( our 3rd Christmas there). Never this bad. Coffee grounds in decaf coffee ( undrinkable). Our guest had something slimy in her regular coffee. While we appreciated them cooking on Christmas Day for us, we couldn’t get over how poorly done the food and desserts were. Embarrassing to take guests there. Sorry, won’t be back next year. Absolutely overpriced and under valued. Pretty place. The servers removed our dirty dishes in a timely manner. Yes, the manager stopped by to ask how we liked everything, but at that point the damage was done and they couldn’t have changed anything that I mentioned above. Anyone else have an experience there yesterday?"

"Amelia’s in the Waterfront Hotel is located within the hotel just past the lobby. Handicapped accessible entrance with parking as well. Parking is free and the restaurant is golf cart accessible also. Waited to get a table for a few minutes and there were no reservations required. The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. We were the first to arrive at opening, a little after 3 pm. Our waitress was very nice but lacked the attention to detail. We asked for bread and got kings Hawaiian rolls. Three rolls for two people. We had to arm wrestle to see who gets the extra roll?!? Husband had brown butter gnocchi and I had chicken Marsala. Food was ok at best. The gnocchi was supposed to be brown butter with sage, it was more like butter butter microwave. The chicken marsala was very brown on the bottom and there wasn’t any gravy! The gravy it did have had chunks of flour in it. Asked for grated cheese for husband’s gnocchi. It was brought out after he finished half his dish. Very disappointed in the meal but the place is very pretty. Would not recommend very sad this place should be full of people."

"Slow service. Waiter could not keep the drink orders correct. If my Ceasar salad had any dressing it was undectable; a diferent waiter was happy to bring a side of dressing. The portion sizes of the entree salads were generous. Fish and chips was one medium sized cod fillet for $18 as a 'Special.' Appetizer came with the entrees (which made it a side dish?). After a long period of inattentiveness the waiter offered the dessert menu. We ordered the top item of Key Lime pie only to have the waiter return (swiftly this time) to inform us they were out. Not very busy for a 6 pm dinner. Overall not a good value for the prices."

"Terrible. Their famous broasted chicken was so so dry and over cooked sort of like a thick, tasteless chicken jerky. I ordered kettle chips, but was served French fries. The cole slaw was not cold. I was so hoping for his place to be good, which added to the disappointment. When asked how the meal was I honestly told them and I think they deducted a couple dollars from the tab. We paid the bill and left hungry so went down the street to Cody's and had a great meal. I really hope this place improves quickly."
