"Located in Sumter Landing in the Villages. This is my favorite area and one of my favorite restaurants. Arrived for a late lunch..live music was being played. Dreary rainy day be we sat outside where they had clear rain curtains. Two of us had clam chowder and the Hawaiian skewers and my husband had the Hawaiian burger. His burger had swiss cheese, onion and pineapple served on a brioche roll. Served with really good crispy fries. Our friend and I had the skewers which were a skewer of really tender chicken and one of shrimp. The sauce was basically Oriental chili sauce with pineapple..but very good. Served with black beans and rice with a bit of lime sour cream. Good dish, worth another try. Hubby had broccoli cheese with rice soup and said was some of the best he has had. Friend and I had clam chowder. Bit is amazing to find that good of chowder in Florida..I mean it was developed in New England, right?? By all means try it...it's awesome. Desserts offered were key lime pie, peanut butter pie. Was too full to try either. RJ Gators is a great restaurant with nice view of Lake Sumter. With ice teas and 2 beers bill was $80. Not too bad..."

"Everything here was just ok. Nothing that I can not love without. We did get seated inside as soon as we walked in, but it took 10 minutes before someone came around to get our drinks order. Being on the water provided some nice views. We were able to walk around a little before and after we ate. We ordered the nachos and fried green beans for appetizers. It took awhile before the appetizers came out. I really enjoyed the fried green beans, really good flavor and the breading stayed crunchy. The nachos, well I can not say the same. They did have good flavor but by the time they came out all the chips were already soft. I ordered the gulf Coast bucket(fish and shrimp) and a cup of crab bisque, my wife ordered the hot wings and a side salad. Our son and daughter in-law had the Okeechobee chicken and a grilled chicken wrap. The food took about 30 minutes to come out and it did not come all out at the same time. About 10 minutes between when my food arrived at the table and when the last plate(chicken wrap) made it to the table. The fish had good flavor, I think it was Pollock. I did not care so much for the shrimp. I am all about a good batter and staying crisp but to me it seemed the shrimp was all batter with no flavor. The crab bisque came out about 5 minutes after the fish, not sure what the delay was on it? They poured sherry on top and did not mix it in, so my first taste was all Sherry and I was done with the bisque. My with stired everything and said it tasted ok but I already had the taste of sherry and was done with it. My wife said the wings were just ok. She did have a couple of wings that still had 4 or 5 of the feather hairs in them. This kind of turned her off from the wings. Our son and daughter in-law said their food was just ok also. The waiter seemed more concerned with the tables that were drinking alcohol than ours so we sat with refills during our meal until we were able to flag him down."

"Outdoor seating was fun. A singer was outside entertaining the crowd. The food service started out late but after that everything was superb. They have happy hour 2 for 1 all day. The beer was cold and the food was tasty. Our server was upbeat and attentive. We definitely will be back."
