"Instead of encouraging the students they discourage them and try to kick them out. Not only that they don't really take their time of helping our children with either a learning disability or health issues plus they don't even have a nurse at the school for kids who do get sick and have no medical training if a child has asthma or seizures. Western has changed a lot over the years, it's like they don't even care any more. Hollywood Hills High School is a lot more better then Western."

"Pretty bad school. The guidance is disorganized and before I left the school with 3 weeks left to go I was told I wasn't going to graduate. Due to me not having a credit for a class, that I asked repeatedly if I had all my credits which I was given an affirmative "yes". Don't come here thinking they'll help you, they won't. The staff are lazy and everyone is sluggish in their work. "Proud principle Arrojo" yeah, proud of his bullshit."

"One of Broward County's prime High Schools, visit Jimmy Arrojo, the Proud Principal of Western High School. 4th year serving the students and community of this great school. Western High School creates an environment where students are safe and feel that they are a part of a community. The school builds trust with students everyday by promoting and demonstrating respect, dignity and honesty and always acting with integrity. Highly recommended."

"I went to western for 4 years and the only memories i have of the school itself is how disorganized the staff are and how helpless the guidance department really is. They don't lift a finger to help any student unless it is backed by a parent complaint, the office staff is rude and they make you wait for an unreasonable amount of time before telling you that they can't help you. Only half of the teachers actually care about their students while the other half treat their job as if they were a depressed fast food employee. The only students who achieve greatness from this school are the students who befriend the administrators, otherwise you will find yourself being pushed around by administration."

"My child had eight different teachers in four classes his first year there and a lot of subs. They expect alot from students and very little from teachers .They cover up teachers absence and do not seem to worried about education. The only teacher's that seem to take their position serious were math and English. They allowed Spanish children to take Spanish class. Enough said."
