"It's an awful place for special needs! If you have an issue the administration you get nowhere. Also in iep meetings they spend more time lying and taking things away from your child then giving them what they need. It's ridiculous! Also the things they feel is ok to say about your child and others is awful. The school to me and other parents I've talked to feel it's anti parent and they don't comphred autism. Which is crazy because they have an autism ward. A lot of families I know personally have left the school and are happy else where. Since the school got a new principal the school has changed for the worse. So I wouldn't recommend."
"This school is good at first until your child is in it longer than a few months the new staff isn't that great, the teachers are okay but the janitors,principles, vice principles and cafeteria staff are rude and very mean to the children. The food is nasty, VERY little and reused from the previous days. My child was threatened by a child in her class saying she was going to kill her and other things multiple times and I took it straight to the principle and they were refusing to call the parent or switch her class and had to take her out of the school because they are slackers and can't do their job, if you are in dunedin with elementary school children I STRONGLY recommend going to Dunedin Elementary School"
"Just like Garrison-Jones, this is an excellent school. Working with Janeen Munn on history curriculum was inspiring. We will be doing much more in conjunction with the Dunedin Historical Museum in the future. Kiddos getting connected to history - along with literature, art and just plain enjoyment -- is a wonderful thing."
