Cilantro Tacos (Tioga)

"Driving from Auburn to Sarasota and was craving Mexican food. Found Cilantro Taco on our way and we could not be more thankful that we stopped there. Thank you Trey for being patient with us when we did not know what to order and thank you to the owners for all of the uplifting words. "If you want to have the best lengua tacos in town you need to visit Cilantro Tacos. These are the most authentic street tacos i have ever tried in Gainesville. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious, the services is top notch and all the staff is super friendly. If you have not try them before please do yourself a favor and pay them a visit you will not regret it!"

"Took a break for lunch and had tacos with My Fellow Entrepreneurs at Cilantro Tacos. My friend Joe recommended it as it was near his office and he eats there regularly. I admit that I was a little bit worried before going there. Eating Mexican food in Florida?? I was concerned that there might be too much Cuba in Florida and not enough Mexico. I was pleasantly surprised! The tacos are very good here, and I would definitely eat here again. The seasoning of the meat was a little more Americanized and less Mexican in style but It was delicious. I sampled four different tacos there, and they were all really good. All the meat, seasoned very well was very tender, and very juicy. I tried the chicken taco, the Al Pastor taco, the Barbacoa taco, and a Carnitas taco. Tacos had very generous amount of meat And typical toppings, diced onion, and cilantro. Slightly sweet and slightly spicy roasted tomatillo salsa was an excellent compliment to the tacos. They also have a large bottle of Valentina for those of you who love it as a taco sauce. Another really nice surprise was the Aguas frescas. They were fresh and homemade and very tasty. I had a mix of mango and strawberry and loved it. Some of my favorite items are: Al Pastor taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Half & half mix-mango & strawberry agua fresca ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Barbacoa taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carnitas taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My guide on how I use the 5 star system: ⭐️ = Not good ⭐️⭐️ = Not terrible, but would not get again ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Solid, but I’d try something else before this again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Really liked it! You should try this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Loved it! Must try I’ll make adjustments to my ratings after subsequent visits. If you see a .3 or .7 it means: .3 = Wasn’t as good the 2nd or last time I tried it .7 = This was better the 2nd or last time I tried it."

"The food here is really good! My big problem with ordering from here, at least in my experience with online orders is that you will end up waiting more than 30 minutes past your promised time. Today, I scheduled my order on DoorDash at 1pm for a 5pm pickup. I arrived at 5pm and was told they were working on my order. I saw three people walk up and place orders in person and they all received their orders before I did, some of them containing multiple entrees. My online order had one bowl and I ended up actually getting my food 30 minutes later even though I ordered 4 hours in advance. I added a picture to show that they actually printed the order ticket at 4:40, meaning it took them almost an hour to make my food. What’s the point of ordering ahead if I have to wait longer than people who order in person? I understand that this isn’t a “fast” food restaurant but it shouldn’t take an hour to prep one entree. The restaurant didn’t seem very busy either - only one family of three and I were actually sitting in the restaurant and all the tables outside were unoccupied. My advice? Order from here for the good food but place your order at least an hour out. If you’re lucky, your order might be ready when you go to pick it up."
