Lisa, the owner, is caring, responsible, friendly, attentive, and just a wonderful person. She sends photos and updates on how my son is doing and will answer any questions promptly. The staff is also amazing! They are ALL friendly, caring, fun, responsible, creative, and very professional! What an amazing group of people! "This daycare has been like family to us. My daughter learned so much in vpk and was above average going into kindergarten! My son currently attends there and loves it. They take great care of him and attend to his specific needs. He has so much fun. The owner is very professional yet she makes you feel like family. "Lake Mary Childcare has been a great experience for my daughter. She started there at 5 months and continues there in their VPK room. We moved during the twos, but when I bought my house in Lake Mary a year later, I called Lisa and brought her back. The staff is friendly and clearly loves the children. Of the full-time staff, 5 out of 7 main teachers and support staff have been there as long or longer than my daughter has been there (+4 yrs). This is rare in the Childcare industry based on my research. The owners, Lisa and Trevor have recently expanded by hiring more classroom assistants so if a main teacher is gone for the day, the children are still familiar with the person in the room. My daughter loves going there, and she is already reading and creating stories and discovering the world around her. She can count to 100 and knows simple addition. I am sure that she will be ready for kindergarten next year. One last thought for those researching centers, don’t dismiss the power of play-based learning. Children need to learn how to socialize and work with peers and express emotion. They will get plenty of opportunities to play on screens and sit still in chairs when they are older. As much as some centers promote things like computer class for 3 years, what you will find at LMCC is that children engage in age appropriate activities centered around hands-on learning and creativity."
