"Horrible ,I went to this school 03 for 1 year for the 7th grade . I had learning disabilities and issues outside of school that affected my mental health as a child. I was never disrespectful to teachers just mis understood and did not make friends easily. I was made fun of by multiple teachers they refered to me as " special " in joking manor in front of other students. They put my desk in the closet thats inside the classroom where they keep classroom supplies and kept me there hours at a time. I was kicked off cheerleading team without any reason. And was kicked out of the school and my mom was told that maybe i was possesed . This school is sick and if you have any children with any special needs do not send them there. For being a religious school its insane how un kindly they treat children. Shameful"

"Our daughter has attended SJP2 for 4 years and has grown spiritually, academically and socially. She is encouraged by her teachers to meet and exceed expectations in a positive way. She is taught to live her faith, which is an extension of what she is taught at HOME. She has made some great friends and has a love for learning that has certainly been fostered and encouraged by her teachers and staff. Thus far, the school has been a partner with us in her education as well as her spiritual and social growth. Schools SHOULD be that partner with parents and I feel SJP2 has been for us. Whenever I have had a question or concern, her teachers have always listened and helped in a caring and respectful way. We are encouraged and given multiple opportunities to volunteer and be a part of the school environment and partners in our child's education. As a Catholic school educator for 20 years, when we moved here 4 years ago, it was important to find a Catholic school for our child. The moment I toured SJP2, I knew we had found the right environment. It was certainly a change from the larger Catholic school she attended in Pre-K (and where I taught), but it was welcoming and that is what we wanted for our daughter. Having changed roles from parent/teacher to just parent, one thing remains the same~what is best for our child! SJP2 is a loving environment where our child is encouraged to live her faith, to always do her best, to take ownership and responsibility for her choices, to treat others with respect and compassion and, most importantly, to be a child of God~all the values we instill at home! She feels safe here and loves her teachers!"

"My children love attending this school. They feel safe, loved and are growing academically, spiritually and emotionally. My children are given the resources to succeed and are challenged academically. I have four children total and not one of them ever complain about waking up and going to school. That alone says so much. As a parent opportunities are given to volunteer and be a part of my children’s educational experience which meant a lot to me. I’ve met parents who have become best friends and my children have made friends that they will grow up with. Attending this school has been life changing for my whole family."

"My children have been attending SJP ll for over 7 years now. The educaion is exceptional and all the children get extra help from all teachers whenever needed. I have noticed on several occations the students attending the school being very respectful and caring to eachother as well as the teachers, staff and parents. It is like one big family. The teachers make it a point to know all the students and as they pass up to their next grade the they feel comfortable with their next grade teacher. Over the years we have made many quality friends at SJP ll. I recommend this school to everyone. Don't let finances hold anyone back the school office staff will work with you finding options for school scholorships to give your child the chance they deserve to attend a school with a caring, comfortable atmosphere and an exceptional education."

"Our family was searching for a school where students are treated as valued and loved individuals. We were looking for a school where teachers cared whether or not a student completed and turned in assignments and whether or not they understood the material. We wanted a school where teachers are enthusiastic and still love teaching, and where students can catch their enthusiasm and love learning! We looked for a school where teachers and staff would support our values and moral teachings and care how students treat others. We hoped for a school that would teach through example and lessons what the Gospel and grace are. We looked for a school where academics are taught to a high standard and where success was already proven. We looked for someplace with high and realistic goals which are supported and coached by teachers. We hoped for a school where learning was interactive and maybe even fun- where activities and projects support lessons and students are encouraged to think, grow, and lead. We found this school in Lecanto at Pope John Paul II Catholic School. They treat each student as a whole person with academic, spiritual, and physical needs. It has a strong community which includes polite and caring students, parents and staff. Pope John Paul II Catholic School exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. A rare school today indeed! We are blessed to be a part of this community. Thank you!!"
