"Born and raised 37 year Chicagoan here… I moved down here from Chicago 8 years ago and have been waiting (impatiently) for a place like this to open. I’ve tried every pizza place I could find from PCB to Pensacola…and, although some were good (enough), none filled the void I was missing from Chicago. When I saw that we had a Chicago-style pizza place coming to Freeport, I was skeptical to say the least. I’ve seen a number of restaurants claim to offer regionally influenced pizza menus, but none of them ever seem to deliver…until now!!! After carefully (and probably at least somewhat annoyingly) vetting the owners prior to their opening, I had their pizzas. They were spectacular. I was wondering if my delight was based on the disappointing pizza I had been eating for almost 8 years prior or if it was truly delicious Chicago-style pizza like I was accustomed to. For At’s A’s soft opening, I had two more, a thin and a deep dish, and, again, they were spectacular. Fast forward a couple weeks, after a holiday trip to Chicago, which is always a pizza fest for me, I returned right before the grand opening of At’s a Chicago Pizza. Despite some “opening day delays”, our experience was wonderful. The pizza was spectacular in every way…exactly what I’ve been looking for and every bit as good, if not better, than any of the pizza I ate on my Chicago pizza fest the prior week. My family and I have been back every Friday since and this place has become a true staple for us. We love the food! We love the owners! We are spoiled for having At's a Chicago Pizza in our little town. Best pizza in Freeport…Best in the panhandle…Hands down!"

"True authentic chicago style pizza! Order in advance for deep-dish and you will not be disappointed!"

"Never had an authentic Chicago deep dish, so I can not speak on its authenticity. However, this is absolutely the best place in Freeport to get a good tasting pie! Called a little after 11 am. When they opened, there seemed to be a commotion and confusion. Ultimately, I arrived about 7 minutes prior to when they said it'd be ready. Staff was very friendly, if a little odd, but very friendly. The place was decorated pretty uniquely. Food eventually came out, and driving home, it smelled very good. Got home and enjoyed the pizza. Everything tasted fresh, and it was a different way to have a pizza. Breadsticks were decent. They had this like butter garlic at the bottom that was absolutely incredible. If we were staying in the area, we would definitely go back."
