"Absolutely amazing the food was so good I love fried mullet we got to sit by the window and alligators were swimming around in the river behind us it was really cool they are not open all year round they're only open for a couple of months. And next weekend is their last day open Friday and Saturday and then they won't be open until next year. It's a 100% need to go place if it's this year or next year. But the food was great and everybody there is very friendly. And thank you to Rachel for being kind and explaining things about the restaurant so I can make a good review. But thank you"

"This place is amazing, and nothing short of a great destination for out of towners, who are lucky enough to find it. This is a local favorite, and awesome dining experience, for those looking for true southern seafood, and great southern hospitality. Treat yourself and family to a great experience!"

"Finally made it to Gators. Been wanting to go there for years. They open at 5pm. I got there at 5:04pm and was greeted with a line of people waiting. I suggest getting there around 4:30ish so you can get a table when they open the door. I stood around maybe 10 mins waiting to get on the list. You can either wait outside and look at the lake or sit inside on a little bench or 2 rocking chairs. I was a party of one and was hoping I could go to a bar and eat but that wasn't the case. I waited a little over and hour for a table. The staff was very nice. The server was prompt and kind. The menu is smaller than expected. They have crackers and bring you out a dip. I ordered the catfish (fried filet pieces since they don't have whole) & fries. The sweet tea was perfect and my glass was never empty. Food came out at a normal time. It was really good and didn't taste fishy or dirty at all. It was about $21 after taxes. I will definitely go again if I don't have to wait a extended period."

"Drive down a dirt road to the back of the woods to a cozy cabin on the banks of a gator infested lake for some good seafood. We really thought we were lost as we follow the GPS direction. But it was a pleasant surprise. While waiting 30 minutes for our table, we walked to the lake to watch some gators bob up to check us out. There were many and the sound they made were eerie. As we were seated at our table, we could also watch the gators from the large patio windows overlooking the lake. My hubby and I shared a crab claw appetiser, seafood platter and dessert. Never had mullet but it tasted similar to catfish. The coleslaw was the only thing that we didn't like. It was dry and bitter tasting. The backside of the menu tells the story of how the restuarant was founded and that it was family owned and operated by family and friends. We found the prices to be very reasonable. Would highly recommend this place. But go during the summer, as that is the only time they are open."

"The food was delicious and portions are big. The coleslaw was one of the best ones I have ever had! However, servers were not using masks and they talk to you very close, also there was not enough spacing between tables (less than 6 feet for sure) so it made the experience very stressful. I didn't leave because I went for a family dinner and didn't want to ruin the night, otherwise I would have left the moment I saw the bad handling given covid-19 situation."
