587 Bistro

"I had high hopes for this place. They were dashed. From a limited menu to horrible parking, this place missed firing on multiple cylinders. We ordered a simple dinner, fried chicken with two sides. I got dark meat (was never asked white or dark), my partner got the white meat. When the food arrived my spouse noticed blood on the plate. No, it was not juice; it was red blood. Apparently they didn't thaw the chicken well enough before cooking it, the center of the breast was raw. When I say raw I mean the meat looked like it was fresh out of the pack. To add to this, my spouse then noticed blood in my plate also. When we informed our waitperson, she kept insisting she had poked it to see if it was cooked. We had cut the breast open so we peeled it back to show her the center and she saw that the meat simply was raw. Although we were offered another meal, we declined. That old saying you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Given the mostly empty parking lot I've seen often, I'd hazard to guess that unless some drastic changes are quickly made, the building will be vacant soon. Really a shame too. I was looking forward to a different choice here in Tifton other than fast food, Mexican and buffets."

"Cons: -the menu is short and boring, nothing special -the food is the epitome of mediocre quality. It’s wasn’t bad food, it just wasn’t great either.(cranberry sauce was still in its “can shape”, everything tasted salty and that’s it, gravy tasted like a mix, turkey had fake smoke on it) -the waitress needs more training on the menu items and the basics of how it’s prepared so she can answer questions easier. Pros: -the interior looks like it’s going to be amazing once finished! So charming and whimsical! So much colour! Love it -the turkey was juicy and the dressing tasted great! It’s a good recipe -the waitress was very friendly and patient with my questions Hopefully this place will improve once given more time and funds"

"Outstanding! Very welcoming! The cook even made chicken for salad without any seasoning; perfectly grilled. My catfish was perfect. Very flavorful, moist, but not greasy and perfect hush puppies. Will definitely be going back."

"I've left the food rating low because I never got my food and what I tasted wasn't good. From my daughter's plate I tried the macaroni and cheese which was not good. It's hard to explain, my 3yo daughter didn't eat it and she loves Mac and cheese more than anything. That's all I got to try. My party and I were seated and ordered within a reasonable amount of time. We were the very first guests of the day. An hour later, half the party( 3 people) had gotten their food and finished it. Meanwhile the server asked if the rest of us would like to change our order because what we had ordered, was still cooking. We declined and left soon after, hungry. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was like springtime, but it was loud and echoey. The floor is made of glitter. It is handicapped accessible and there are highchairs. Although the highchair they brought for my daughter had a screw sticking out of it that my daughter pointed out to me. It wasn't even screwed in very much. On the plus side, the highchair was new and clean!"
