"Place is called "Cash For Gold" but when I walked in yesterday with a gold necklace and gold earrings, I could tell from the moment I walked in that I wasn't welcome. There was an old man, probable the store owner's father, asked what they could do for me, I said that I just had an appraisal done for a gold diamond necklace and earrings and I would like to sell them. He kind of was like, "Well, appraisals don't mean much but lets look at what you have"... that's when he asked how much I'm looking for, I was like, "Well, how much would you offer?" He said with an eyeroll that "That doesn't do us no good." Insinuating what? I have an appraisal for a 4k necklace and I'd like to know what you'd even offer on it. I'm not asking for the 4k or honestly even half that. But there was no courtesy. That's when I believe the store owner walked up and took over. Again, he said appraisals don't mean much and asked if I got it done across the street, where he then BAD MOUTHED the appraiser and said she isn't good at her job. What?? With what evidence? Why bad mouth another owner? He said and I literally quote, "Go back there and ask her for half of this and she won't do it. If I take this and go to another jeweler they'd probably give me 100$ for it..." For a gold chain that was appraised for 700 and a diamond that was appraised for 3300... OK BUDDY SURE, 100$ would be the best I could do. The whole vibe was I'm inconveniencing them and wasn't worth their time. Be a dude in your 40's+ and I bet the vibe would have been way different. Good ol' boys club vibes."
