"They have the best selection of cabinet hardware I've ever seen! Updated: They may have good selection, but the ordering process leaves a lot to be desired. Stuff was left off, errors were made, and the most important piece arrived broken. Of course, I left the cabinets boxed to protect them until installation, so by the time this was discovered it was much too late for the problem to be fixed. I had to buy unfinished cabinets to have them painted to match what we could work with. It remains to be seen whether they will do anything to make this right, or if I will have to eat the cost of the cabinet I could not use, and the extra construction needed to work around their errors."

"My husband and I were very excited to do a full house renovation and paid upfront $4500 which included design services and subsequent project management. After experiencing repeated unprofessional behavior from Bette, she quit on us before the designs were completed and took our money. Designs did not even include a 3-D color virtual rendering which I am finding now almost all design build firms include for free once you sign on with them. Instead we received paper drawings with a concepts a designer at Home Depot could have come up with. The showroom was a mess and very disorganized. Things went south when we wanted to make tweaks to the design which we thought was a normal part of the process. Instead every change we wanted to make seemed to be an affront to her which is where the unprofessionalism reared it’s ugly head. I won’t even go through the poor communication (not returning messages) and having to ask for things several times before it would register and they’d be added to the design. We are now going through Avatar Contractor Group and are half way through our project. The difference between the two is like night and day. Please do yourself a favor and stay away. This woman is a fraud."

"I have collaborated with Bette and her team at The Works for over a decade, beginning as a novice vendor (art on tile back splashes). I will always appreciate her support of that personal venture. Most recently, with Bette at the helm, I completed the renovation of my Master and guest bathrooms. Bette listened as I described what I envisioned for these spaces and we came up with the perfect design within an hour. I got a great result on a set budget as I will move within 18 months and these were upgrades that had to be made. I decided, why wait till the last minute to make changes and not be able to enjoy! So, I can't say enough positive about hard working and professional owner, Bette! Finally, while she has a number of contractors that she uses, for me she recommended contractor Chris who was the perfect fit and was excellent and very hands-on. Plus, he had access to a number of honest and dependable subcontractors-painters, tilers, flooring guys, electricians, plumbers, etc. I highly recommend Bette and the professional team she has assembled!"
