"Great hiking spot. Nice views at the top. Easy for all to climb."
"Love this trail! It’s a 2.1 mile loop trail. I’d rate it on the moderate-hard side. First mile is straight up the mountain with an elevation gain on 600+ ft. And what goes up must come down. Beautiful overlook at the tip top."
"This is a nice trail with different kinds of terrain to experience. I wouldn't recommend tennis shoes for this route. Some good actual hiking shoes or hiking boots should suit you well here for traction. Its not like Red Top Mtn where most of the trail is smooth. There are some moderate inclines and some narrow areas of the trail. From the Main St parking lot, you can either choose the Boot Trail or the Hiking Stick Trail which is actually steeper in some parts, but smooths out towards the summit. There is alot of room on the summit for multiple parties, and if you're feeling extra adventurous, you can choose to descend the mountain on the narrow bike trails. Foot traffic was light (Sunday Afternoon) and there will be many times where you won't pass anyone for a good 10 minutes or so. The top of the summit gives a nice view of Kennesaw Mtn, and the Powerplant in Cartersville. Overall a good hike whether solo or with a group. Bring at least a liter of water if you aren't used to hiking. I would recommend a single strap shoulder bag, or a small 25L hiking bag with minimal supplies such as water, snacks, and first aid. Tripping is highly possible here due to the terrain. I wouldn't recommend this hike for completely new beginners new to hiking."
"The trail is roughly 1.2 to 1.3 Miles from parking area up the Pine Mountain depending on which trail you take. The blue which is shorter more strenuous, or the red which slightly longer and moderate. The two trail split not very far from parking lot but meet again before the top. At the top there is an overlook with beautiful views. The trails are beautiful and mostly shaded. The parking area is very close to exit 288 from I-75 north. Parking is free."
"This was a well marked trail! We went up the boot trail, which I believe was marked with blue. It was labeled moderate but was a more easy as it was uphill, but was dirt and packed with minimal obstacles. The view at the summit was nice with a good photo op! We went down the trail marked strenuous with the Fatman Squeeze. It recommended hiking poles. There was one area with rocks that required some more hands inclusion for traversing. But overall, it was pretty similar to the boot trail. So, more moderate with the inclusion of the rocks. We enjoy it as it had pretty trees and foliage! There was ample parking—very nice gravel lot with a port-o-potty"
