"My wife and I tried The Fig Tree last night for the first time and it was very good. The chef has a flair for southern/cajun food and the menu shows it. I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The chicken was very good and the potatoes were good but the okra seems to be frozen and not fresh. My wife got the chef's pasta and it was very tasty. The space is sort of small and not very appealing but the food makes up for it. The prices were a little high as well but with a small space, it has to be made up somewhere to stay open."
"The chef is very down to earth and makes incredible food! He came out to talk to us and made sure we enjoyed our food since they were out of an ingredient. The food was still phenomenal. He could easily have not told me and I wouldn't have noticed. We will be back again soon!"

"This is a little gem of a find. The chefs cooking is spectacular, the service was great, and the food was some the best I’ve had in years. One of the favorites are the shrimp and grits. The restaurant is in the rear - not to be confused with the salon in the front."
