"I thought these people were put in place to protect the renters as well as the landlord. I have followed all the rules. Had to call housing and When my Landlord Linda Massey tried to retaliate against me. Florida Kibble and Dennis Gallian from Safe Haven a program ran under the Housing Authority to help recovering drug addicts with mental health issues adjust to living in the community. So please explain why I was told by Safe Haven and the Huntington Housing Authority that Now it is less than 69 degrees in my same house. My furnace has been running for over 24 hours. Guess who gets stuck with that bill? I am Welcome to move"
"Filed out application then went back to office wasn't allowed in the building a man came to the door at lobby said there was 1 to 2 year waiting list in order to receive my housing voucher July, August of 2023"
"I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! They are so rude they talk down to you like you’re a nobody and secondly MS ANGELA whatever her name is RUDE AS CAN BE I have never experienced what I have experienced with these people IN HUNTINGTON WEST VIRGINIA!!! She told me that she sent me a notice 3 times (Update packet) checked my mail back from then I haven’t received anything I believe she was just looking for a reason to cover her behind I will NEVER AND I REPEAT NEVER APPLY WITH THEM AGAIN!! "My husband was homeless sleeping in his car many years ago. He went into to apply for help and it was snowing outside at the time. While sitting inside to stay warm. The receptionist asked him is tht all u need and my husband was asked to leave. Never again will we ask for help. They do not check on those who live in terrible houses owned by slumlords here in Huntington. They did their job for me in 08."
"Absolutely amazing staff!! The Section 8 Staff was great.. I called a month ago and needed some documentation, not only was they professional they emailed the documents where I needed them to go and made me copies for my records as well. Thank you guys !!! Much appreciated ..."
