Founded by retired Professional Mixed Martial Artist Shane Weinischke, who has trained in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the renowned De La Riva Jiu Jitsu Academy. Shane actively competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has a successful record in various regional MMA competitions.
As a coach, Shane has traveled nationally and internationally to support his students in training and competition. He is also a certified judge, referee, and commissioner in the state of Florida. Shane's expertise and accomplishments in the martial arts world have been featured in television productions and media publications.
With a 1st Degree Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu and a Black Belt awarded by The Armory, Shane has a strong background in both disciplines. His students have achieved success in competitions across the United States and in Southeast regional BJJ tournaments.

When I walked in, I was instantly welcomed by Shane at the door and he politely showed me where I could change. I have visited dozens of BJJ places around the world as I have been training for more than 10 years and notice the little things that give me clues about the culture. Not only did Shane introduce me to the rest of the class, but it was also followed up by all of his students welcoming me by coming to shake my hand/fist bump. This always means a lot when visiting. The rolls were with all different ages and training levels. Most importantly, the rolls were friendly, competitive and there was no ego from anyone.
