"I am a current patient of the office Pros: I love how all the staff is so sweet and kind. My prenatal care was st first by Dr Peak whom I can tell only by having one single appoitment with him he was rude. Thanks God after that appointment they called me to notify me he was gone then after that my prenatal Care was handle by Dr. Durron he is a new doctor in the office and I can say he would take care of you and you would be fine. My c section was fast and I had a fast recovery. This doctor knows what he does and you are for sure in good hands. He is bilingual and he would explain to you exactly how the procedure would go and all the details. I had a tube ligation as well right after my c section and all is good. Cons: I was supposed to have a schedule c section with dr Durron on the 22nd but he was not in the hospital that day? This was a bummer because no one from the office advise me of this before hand? The doctor covering for him did not want to do the tube ligation for an issue hospital staff encounter with my paper work and pre auth for this procedure but the manager of Georgia prenatal was able to fix this issue, she talked to the doctor and Northside staff and fixed it. So next day I had my procedure on thanksgiving day with Dr Durron that was on call that day in the hospital. So I would say make sure all your paper work is signed and is ready before your delivery. Make sure you ask the staff multiple times. In my case I signed twice but some how the papers were lost but then it was found again. I’m just glad there was a good outcome in my situation. The staff and manager did apologize for all the confusion and mistakes with my paper work"
"This place needs to be closed down . Very un professional , took my wife here for prenatal care and doesn't seem like this clinic cares much about the pregnancy . They poked my wife more than once for a blood test and left her arm all bruised up and started asking her questions that us as patients should be getting the answers for . Don't recommend this clinic at all . The ultra sound lady was very rude and disrespectful . We paid out of pocket for this visit and honestly feels like money gone to waste . This place needs to really be examined because a place like this is no joke , there are lifes on the line . If I could give this place a zero star review I would ."
"All the staff is really nice but I literally never even met Dr Paek and now I see he’s no longer with them. I wasn’t told this by anyone even when I called to make an appointment with the “doctor” they just put me with a woman instead (who, granted, was nice but I was still uninformed.) And I chose this office specifically so I could be delivered by a person of color and now I’m too far into my pregnancy to switch."
"The staff at this office is lovely, and every appointment I had up until my last one was a positive experience, however, my first time meeting Dr. Peek was my last time coming in. I have been told they no longer work with him, but upon looking at past reviews it seems like he comes and goes from this clinic. I felt like I should warn anyone who may have to deal with him in the future. Background for context of why this interaction was particularly egregious and was the catalyst for me choosing to move mine and my baby's care to another doctor at 36 weeks. I am a 38 year old soon to be first time mom with three bonus kids (step kids) already. I have had fertility issues in the past and had accepted that I probably wouldn't have any kids of my own. My pregnancy was a happy surprise, but due to my age, past health concerns, and the fact that this will be our fourth child, we had already decided that I would be seeking sterilization in some form after my daughter is born. Because this will be my first and only pregnancy, certain things are important to me, for what I see as obvious reasons. My first meeting with Dr. Peek, who was supposed to deliver my daughter, ended up being a nightmare. Due to the fact that my daughter was breech, he instantly demanded that I schedule a C-section, and I couldn't get a word in edgewise. I tried to explain that this is my first and only child, and it was important to me to do everything possible to let her come naturally, versus scheduling her and undergoing a traumatic surgery rather than being mentally present for her birth. Dr. Peek cut me off and told me I didn't know that I wouldn't have any more kids (nevermind the fact that VBAC is not a common option even if I was going to have other children). He told me completely anecdotal stories about people trying to deliver breech babies and having them die or "come out jacked up." He didn't bother to hear my side of things at all, didn't support his position with anything medically relevant pertaining to me or my daughter, didn't discuss any other options (she may turn on her own, trying ECV, what her HC/AC measurements were and whether that could potentially support a breech vaginal delivery, or even what type of breech she was). What it boiled down to was fearmongering, bullying and telling me he doesn't deliver breech babies vaginally and I won't find anyone else who does either. I wasn't even asking him to, I just wanted to explore all options and use the C-section as a last resort. His attitude was essentially that it sucks and it wasn't what I planned on but it was what it was and that was it. I left the office crying and decided right then and there that I could absolutely not trust him with mine and my baby's care any longer. The next day, after stressing out and being on the phone for hours trying to find any doctor in my network who would take me as a patient so late in the game, let alone with the issues I was having, I managed to find one and book an appointment. After attending that appointment, I am even more angry that so little was explained to me prior. My new doctor was able to shift my daughter out of breech position in a matter of minutes right there in his office and the plan is to go ahead with a normal vaginal delivery. Furthermore, the discomfort I had been experiencing up until that point for months due to her being in an oblique position is all but gone. I have slept better, walked easier, and can get up and down with very little strain and effort. I'm sure my daughter is way more comfortable as well. This is my first pregnancy, so I thought the discomfort was just part of it. Knowing that this may have been alleviated months ago just by a little caring and effort on my doctor's part is pretty infuriating. In fact, Dr. Peek never even bothered to meet or get to know me, I sought out an appointment specifically with him. Thank goodness I did before it was too late. Do not choose him as your doctor, he does not care about his patients, only what is easy and comfortable for him."
"I love the staff, especially Angie. She would take my blood pressure always had a smile at her face. Rocci at the front desk always answers my questions. In place all staff are super nice. I had only see Dr. Peek for risk pregnant, he is great answers questions, great attitude. Listen to my concerns. Only I would change is waiting time. It can long. Thank you to Georgia Prenatal for helping bringing my son to this world."
