"Today, January third, was the day our children were to return to school. Their bus, bus 23, usually is waiting at our driveway around 0700 each school morning. Today, we waited until 0720, then called this bus shop. After a long wait, a lady answered, claiming that she "just got in the door" and had no knowledge of the bus being late. When requesting her to radio the bus to find its status, she refused. Thus ends the first call. We called again around 0725, and this time I requested the bus be radioed. I was told that the bus will be at our location within 30 minutes. Our children will be marked as late if the bus drops them off past 0800. I hung up on her, disgusted. We're not told if the bus is suffering a malfunction(which is understandable) or anything for that matter. My wife called a final time, at 0730. We demanded that the bus be radioed. The woman that answered the phone(the same lady all three times, no name given) did not put us on hold, so we heard her on the radio. A man who my wife recognized as the director of transportation, spoke on the radio telling the woman to tell all parents that the buses will be on location within 30 minutes. The woman did as such, rudely. My wife told her of her rude behavior. I'm telling all of you that the bus service is not a privilege. We pay taxes so that they can have a paycheck. In short, we are the customer, and we demand to be treated with at least a modicum of respect. I doubt this will be read, but I will continue to find a way to contact the Bus Shop's director and inform him of the events that transpired this morning."
