"Had my discovery flight with Ron this week and it was a blast! He took the time to explain everything as he went, meets you at your level, and no question was too small for a detailed answer. Super patient with my nervous warnings that other aircraft appeared to be close to us (spoiler alert, they weren’t LOL, we had a laugh about that.) Had a great time and would recommend to anyone."

"I left ATP after obtaining my private pilot and instrument rating because management was the absolute worst — plus it cost me over $55,000 for just those two ratings. So I was on the hunt for another flight school to complete my commercial and CFI. A friend of mine recommended that I check out Atlanta Air Academy because they had more affordable rates, great staff, and a well maintained fleet of Cessna 172s. AAA got me through my commercial and CFI quickly and for way less than ATP. Plus, literally the second I passed my CFI rating, they offered me a job and I was teaching students within a week! AAA has such a good community of instructors and staff. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone looking to become a pilot, regardless of whether it’s just for fun or a career! Plus, we are the only flight school at the airport that also has a part 135 charter company. In other words, many of our CFIs not only teach in the Cessnas but also get to fly the King Airs! If you want to explore aviation, come in for a discovery flight and I’d be more than happy to get you on the schedule."

"I initiated my flight training with Ron Hilley in August of this year, and I'm well on my way to obtaining my private pilot's license by the end of this year, thanks to Ron's exceptional expertise and unwavering passion. I wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone looking to embark on the incredible journey into aviation."

"Went for my initial flight experience in a Cessna. Communication with Vicki and Sera was always professional, and positive. They painted a clear picture of expectations. Sera, the instructor was positive, encouraging, clear, exact, professional and conscience of her directions. I would definitely fly again with Sera and Atlanta Air Academy! It was a really great experience for my first time in a small plane. Thanks Sera"

"An amazing place. All staff members are open and friendly. I had the opportunity to speak to the director of the academy himself and learn his back story into aviation. My flight instructor was very knowledgeable and encouraged me through out my lesson. The academy has family feel to it. Highly recommended for those wanting to discover flying or get there license."
