About the Business
Powder Springs Family History is a school located in Powder Springs, Georgia, United States. Our center serves the northwest region of the greater Atlanta area and is situated in west Cobb county. We welcome patrons to come and explore their family history with us, with mask wearing at their discretion and hand sanitizer available. Please bring a USB device to save your documents or images.
Our computers have been rearranged to allow for social distancing, and we sanitize surfaces before and after each appointment. Patrons are welcome to bring their personal computers for note taking or entering information into genealogical programs, with wireless internet access available. Memory sticks can also be used to download information.
We are currently looking for staff volunteers who are comfortable with computers, enjoy working with people, and have a basic knowledge of family history research principles. Training will be provided, and a minimum of 2 shifts per month in the Center is required. Interested individuals can email the temple and family history consultant at GA_PowderSprings@familyhistorymail.org.
Family Search is continuously making records available online, and indexing is crucial to making these records accessible.
