"Start off by saying one of the WORST daycares , not enough attention for ratio of "teachers " that don't care anyway , very very dirty is very GREETY and very rude when they don’t get too dollar for what they overcharge . DO NOT RISK UR Child and money AT THIS HORRIBLE PLACE . MR blessing AKA the owner is the worst of the worst"
"My son attended Oxford Academy for 18 months. He spent time in both the 2yo and 3yo classrooms. I will try and offer a fair and balanced review of our experience with the school. The Good: The school is very clean and well maintained. The classrooms are rich environments with plenty for the kids to do. The staff was always very friendly, and I never in any way felt like my child was unsafe. The pricing is consistent with other daycares in the area, and we didn’t see any large increases while we were there. Lunch and snacks are included in the tuition which is nice. The Bad: The communication was incredibly poor. They, like most daycare/preschools use Procare, but the actual use of the service to update parents on their kids was wildly inconsistent. There would be a couple weeks where it was clear they were trying to get better, and then all updates would just stop. There were actual months where we received no updates on our kid. Staff turnover seemed to be high. This could be because the school changed ownership while we were there, but it was difficult for my son to establish comfortable relationships with teachers because it felt like they changed more often than you would expect. I didn’t love how often the kids were just sitting and watching tv. They had tv’s in the classrooms, and the majority of the time when dropping off my son and picking him up, all the kids would be sitting down just staring at a screen. We kept my son in the school because it was incredibly close to our house and offered part time schedules. We always knew it was temporary until we could make it off the waitlist of the school he attends now, which now that I have a different experience to compare it to, it is significantly better than what we experienced at Oxford. I think it’s a great temporary solution especially for younger babies, but once you hit toddler/preschool years I think there are much better options available."
"After much consideration I have decided to share my family’s experience with this establishment. In short, my daughter was under Oxford’s care when a cleaning agent was left unsupervised and my daughter got into this chemical which burned the back of her arms. The staff notified us immediately. Unfortunately, the owner actively tried to cover up the incident and did not report it to state in a timely fashion. The owner also instructed her staff to lie to the state investigator when she showed up. Parents beware!!"
"This is my first time ever sending out a review. I’m a health practitioner where I help sick individuals and I take my career serious. I thought I found the perfect daycare for my twin babies. They started attending this daycare in Feb and I stared having problems in March. The director of this daycare is the worst. She has bad energy, unfriendly, unprofessional, outspoken and has no patience for children. You would think the director that has 4 kids of her own would be more understanding but she don’t. The staff seemed imitated by her and would never call me when there was a problem with my twins. The director was the “middle man” and always called me for the staff when there was an issue. There was a lack of communication with this daycare. How could a director call me complaining of my twins and couldn’t tell me which baby it was? She was calling me continuously over non emergency situations where it was affecting my job. Why do I have to leave my sick client to pick my son up from daycare that is having a tantrum? It was times where the director would call me 5 minutes after dropping my twins of stating he was having a tantrum and to pick him up. Where is it in the handbook that a 1 or 2 year old have to leave daycare over tantrums? She also would call me at work with situations that could be communicating when I pick my twins up.I read the handbook numerous times and I couldn’t figure out where in the handbook that a tantrum was a concern. This daycare has no patience and the director always asked me “what are you doing at home” which is very offensive. I really didn’t want to leave this review but I had no choice. I took my twins out this haunted house last week and that’s the best decision I ever made. I want to warn other parents please don’t send your children here due to the director and the inpatient staff members. The staff also was concerned that my babies slobbered which was odd. I asked for a meeting and I told them to not call me from work over non emergency situations and the director did not obey that request. As I said before please do not send you kids to this daycare. The rating of this daycare speaks for itself. I have a list of things to say about this haunted house but I don’t have enough energy to do so. On a positive note I would like to thank Ms. Erica, Ms. Z and Ms. Deborah for being the only staff members for being kind and professional."
