"About six months ago I had shoulder surgery with this clinic I returned three months back because the problem with my shoulder wasn’t resolved. When I came back to complain about the same shoulder symptoms before my surgery I was told that the doctor that conducted my surgery no longer work there so I literally spoke to a doctor for about two minutes on one day was charged $219. The doctor recommended to talk to another doctor the next day which was about 5 mins charged another $219. So here I am today with the same shoulder issue I had 8 months ago and out of $438. Oh and by the way don’t call the billing office to resolve any issues the lady has a bad attitude."

"I was referred by a former patient to this clinic. I really liked the two doctors that I saw. My wait was very short every time and the nursing staff is wonderful. I had been in there enough to completely meet my deductible. I was a mess but a great candidate for recovery. I had two surgeries scheduled and approved by Humana. I was really excited that I was finally getting relief from the pain I had been suffering from for years. I saw a light at the end of this painful road. HOWEVER, my excitement was short lived when the clinic discovered that I purchased insurance through the Marketplace. They stopped all treatment mid-stream. Even though I had a second MRI done at their request, they refused to read it for me. Every doctor refused to treat me further. I had to start over. It was horrible. I was told that they don't make enough money to treat Marketplace customers. I am a recent widow with two students still dependent on me and the Marketplace is all that I can afford. Now I can appreciate that a Doctor needs to make money and this is not for a political stand or statement. My complaint is with the administrative staff as follows: To add insult to injury, I discovered that they collected my co-pay even after I had met my deductible and I no longer had to make a co-pay. I brought this to their attention and they said to wait until the accounting manager came back. Then they lied and said that they would have to wait 30 days to get paid and see what happened. Humana told me that was not true, that Atlanta Knee and Shoulder could see my benefits right away. I took them proof, talked face to face with the office manager, left several messages for the accounting manager, actually brought it up when I FINALLY got my file. To this day, I still have received nothing. No reimbursement, no returned call, only a complete lack of respect for this pitiful administrative staff. I will repeat this, my medical treatment was wonderful and I would have given them a 5 star but the accounting staff has too much authority and not enough compassion common courtesy or sense to realize what a zit on the face of this practice they are when they steal a patient's hard earned money."
