MinuteClinic at CVS

"Make sure they enter all your insurance information correctly. I went there a week ago and received a charge today for $354. Once I called their billing department and read off my insurance ID number the person on the phone told me that they entered it in wrong the day of my appointment. So now I'm out $354 until my insurance processes the claim then I have to call CVS minuteclinic and ask for a refund. I'll die before I ever go back to this place."

"Nurse Practitioner Sierra seemed to be in a hurry and didn't allocate enough time to attentively listen to my concerns and symptoms."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. But the one star is for the nurse and the immediacy of being seen at the start of my reserved appointment. This is the absolute worst medical experience of my life. I went in for sore throat and the NP- Heinrich Von Ewegen refused to look at my throat saying the strep culture was negative and looking at the back of my throat wouldn’t change his diagnosis of it being viral. I asked him to check in case it was throat ulcers which I have had in the past. He REFUSED. I couldn’t believe it. He advised me that it couldn’t be bacterial because I would’ve looked really sick and I didn’t. I was so upset I scheduled an appointment with my dr that afternoon. He ran a full panel and actually looked at my throat. I started antibiotics for a bacterial infection. Had I not gone to my doctor my condition would have only worsened. This NP had the worst bedside manner and should not be practicing medicine."

"Adding to my review from last year: My nurse today, Sierra, checked me out thoroughly when I arrived. I signed in at the kiosk and was seen immediately. Sierra was able to diagnose me quickly with strep throat based on my symptoms and the strep test, and she took time to explain the medications she was prescribing. Overall a very pleasant visit for feeling as poorly as I do! No complaints from me! I reserved my spot online, and I was seen right when I signed in at the kiosk (9:55a). I saw Ellen, who seemed very knowledgeable. She was sure to explain in detail the warnings for the medicine she was prescribing me. Great experience!"

"I was hesitant to go after reading other poor reviews. I just had a very positive experience. I met with Sierra Barr NP and she quickly diagnosed me. She was kind, attentive and thorough. The wait was a little long, but overall I am very satisfied with the attention and sense of urgency she had to get me taken care of once I was in her office. I would absolutely return."
