Reviews
"The Inpatient and Outpatient programs are the best at Ridgeview. I was honest with myself, and then everything worked itself out. I applied what they were teaching me and became a better person leaving. I highly recommend this place for anyone dealing with trauma in their life."

"Other reviews are correct in that this heinous facility deserves 0 stars. THIS IS NOT A SAFE FACILITY!!! This is a mental abuse facility. Not mental health facility. I visited Ridgeview, and was made to wait 3 hours in the waiting area, with no other people. There’s no reason that should take that long. I was told my information was never sent over from the first facility I visited, even though I watched the first facility fax them my information, myself. The blonde receptionist spoke to another employee about how she was, “SO doped up on benzos after surgery,” and went on about it in detail for a good 30 minutes. She even made the comment, “It felt good. I see why these people get hooked on it.” That’s extremely inappropriate considering patients are seen for substance abuse treatment at that facility. That could be triggering for someone struggling. What if I was there for that reason? How dare she mock those struggling with addiction. It was truly shocking and repulsive. It was like the staff was trying to taunt patients before they were even seen. I finally got called back after 3 hours. The man who escorted me back to the initial room was silent the entire time, led me to the room, I entered, and turned around to ask him a question, and he just slammed the door shut and left me in the room alone, again with no words. He never spoke ONE word. No one ever explained to me what was going on. Then a clerk (or someone, again, very little communication) came in to ask me the intake questions. She never introduced herself or explained what she was there for. She never explained what part of the process I was currently at. She just came in, sat down, and started asking questions. As I described my symptoms, she, who was NOT the psychologist nor psychiatrist, was trying to diagnose me and argued with me about what symptoms I was experiencing. She rolled her eyes multiple times as I answered the questions. SHE SMILED AT ME WHEN I TOLD HER I USED TO SELF HARM. I have never seen a medical “professional” act so VILE. She overall treated me like I’m a joke or I’m dramatic. I was never once taken seriously. I left the room and was sent back to the waiting area. As soon as I was “free” in the waiting area, I left and didn’t look back. I could immediately tell in the 3 hours I spent in the waiting room, to the 15 minutes I was asked the initial questions, that: THIS IS NOT A SAFE FACILITY. I was not even treated here because of how abhorrently they act towards patients. If this is how I was treated before even officially becoming a patient, I knew that it would only be worse once I did. The staff are abominable and treat patients as if they are less than feces on the bottom of their shoes. As if they are not human beings. If they do not like their jobs, each and every single staff member can go find another job. Their job is to help people who are at their worst. If they do not truly care about that, they are in the wrong field. I don’t know if anybody has ever mentioned that to them. McDonald’s and Dollar Tree are always hiring. Those places better fit their attitudes, anyway. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY. There is NO professionalism displayed towards patients by staff of any level. Their behavior is inexcusable. This place should be SHUT DOWN."
"For the techs, group leaders, and nurse practitioners I give a 5 star rating. They listened and provided great service. I requested my records and was sad to see the doctor notes were opposite of what I discussed and had diagnoses that were never discussed with me. Dr. Norniella failed to acknowledge my trauma, which even those “loving” familial relationships included in the notes recognize. He didn’t acknowledge my pain but that didn’t stop him from prescribing medications for a diagnosis he did not discuss when we met."
"They are the worst. People pay about 10k for the stay and it's so freaking short, then they get treated like dogs. Most of the staff here look like they need mental health evaluation because how they handle PATIENTS. i was pregnant when I stayed here. I told them the possibility even though I got negative pregnancy urine test at a hospital before arriving here, I wanted to make sure medications they are giving me are safe for the pregnancy. They were not. And the staff, yelled at me and threatened me if I don't take the pills, I'll be in the hole. The hole, was the place some patients locked in and we could see from a small window what's he doing in there. Mostly they get panicked and get bloody inside. Screams can be heard from the TV room in the facility and some patients can't handle the entire thing. Understandble. It was intense. Staff there also mock patients. I asked what date it is, to a nurse at the counter wheb I had to fill up a form. The nurse looked at me like literal crazy person, the asked "you don't know what date today is?"then smarked, "do you know what year it is? Or what month?". Also, when they want you to do something, for example, open the door for them, they just tell you open. No " please", no " can you". The list goes on and on. One person particularly upset was also a nurse. She was going to stay there till her symptoms calmed down but she couldn't take it. It is entirely completely different than what you see on their website. Trust me and others. The facility staff, most of them with strong foreign accent do treat you like a dog. There were a few very nice employees, and one night we had to listen to their argument (good nurse and bad nurse) echoing the entire corridor. Basically good nurse snapping at bad nurses to treat patients like human. Bad nurse yelling good nurse they are treating patients like human but if they disrespect them, they won't treat them well... Mind you, they treat harmless mentally weakened people with no respect even without any insult or disrespect toward them. They also often mock patients and laugh about it. We've seen some nurses betting about patients behind the counter. These patients suffering with drug addiction, bipolar, depression. While I was staying there, I could feel better not because their treatment but other patients. Interacting with them and knowing what they are there for, shoulder to vent when you get abused by the staffers. I really hope nobody use this facility and all the mental staff lose their jobs go homeless and have no access to any help. I really hope so. What they did to patients, they deserve that type of ending."
