"These guys were hired to tear out a deck and replace it. The first red flag was them not providing a copy of the signed contract because it needed notarized. Khristina Brewer said it would be mailed. This was on June 17, 2021. James Maynard says they would be hat our home to start demo on Monday June 21, 2021 at 8:30. James and another person named John arrived at 12:20pm. They removed the deck as planned and piled it in our yard as agreed so we didn’t incur a dump fee. They finished working before 4:00. James said he would be back the next day, Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 8:30 with lumber to start building the replacement deck. 8:30 comes on Tuesday morning and no show. Noon comes, still no show. No call at this point either because our home phone line was incidentally cut by James. I will have to pay to have a new line put in to replace it. But I digress. James is emailed by us and he replied that he would be there early Wednesday morning June 23, 2021. The crew never came. By today, June 24, 2021, James Maynard has deleted his account on Thumbtack and his busines’s Facebook page. He has not responded to multiple calls, emails, and text messages. James Maynard and Khristina Brewer are scammers. They came to our home, damaged our property, and stole our money."
