"Very friendly staff; Ty @ valet was helpful and pleasant upon arrival; check-in was super fast and front-desk staff was kind and efficient, with genuine smiles. I was able to check in a little earlier than standard time which was really helpful, been traveling since early AM. The rooms are starting to show their age a bit. The hotel is clean and tidy and I have a great view of the city from 13th floor, but little things like big chips in black door paint, black smudges on white walls, leaky faucets with excessive mineral deposits are slightly disappointing. I remember pre-pandemic, this hotel had an electric, very chic feel to it. That feeling is missing this time. Other than the signs of aging, I am anticipating a pleasant week’s stay. Happy to return to a familiar, convenient location in this pretty city!"

"An absolute nightmare. From filthy rooms and common areas to sketchy people hanging out in the hallways drinking and yelling, every element of our stay in this disgusting property was miserable. After leaving the room at 9am and personally asking the front desk to have our room cleaned and to please give us soap and shampoo (as we had not received any), we were beyond frustrated to come back to our room at 6pm to a room that had not been made up whatsoever. Additionally, our family members in a different room on a different floor also did not receive maid service. We went back to the front desk and were told by the rude eye rolling staff that maid service is too busy to get to every room everyday. We requested to check out and be refunded for the second night so we could stay elsewhere and they refused. After a very unpleasant interaction with obnoxious hotel staff, they put us in a different room which they said was easier than getting our original room made up. We had to pack up and move in a matter of minutes and it was extremely inconvenient to say the least. Once we went to the new room, the real nightmare began. The room butts up to the main elevator bank of the hotel and the noise from three elevators going up and down was unbearable. Loud thunderous moaning and squeaking with people clamoring in and out non stop is putting it mildly. Additionally the toilet ran non stop and the room stank of smoke. Again we went downstairs only to be told that while they understand the countless flaws of the specific room and are aware that people always complain about this room, there’s nothing they will do and nowhere they will put us. We again requested to check out and be refunded and again they refused. We asked to speak to a manager and apparently there are no managers on the property. Every moment of our stay at the Hilton Doubletree Tallahassee was simply horrible and nothing short of vile. We are a truly stunned that this property is part of the Hilton Hotels group. Stay away!!!!!"

"I wanted to take a moment to show applause and support for two amazing employees that clearly understand the phrase Customer Service Greg from (attached photo) valet was over the top with advice and guidance. Clearly knows the area and was willing to share details to make our stay enjoyable and more convenient. It’s great to see young people like him that actually get it, clearly raised right and trained properly - He’s a keeper. WOW WOW ! Taylor Barnes at reception was so much fun when we were checking in. Great sense humor, very upbeat and made us laugh multiple times. Great job Doubletree on putting people like this, upfront, center, and in critical positions! An amazing first impression.."

"I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past 7 years. No real new features have been added but some things have definitely decayed. The front desk service is very hit or miss. Several of my colleagues had abysmal experiences. Parking is a plus, IF the garage isn't full. Good luck if you arrive in the evening! The room had minimal amenities and towels. You are paying for the location, pure and simple."

"What a wonderful valet attendant Kelly! He went above and beyond every time I needed something. Thank you so much it was truly appreciated and made a work related trip much more pleasurable! Additionally, there was a front desk attendant also named Kelly and she was magnificent when we checked on all the rooms. Very patient and accommodating with all of us from the Boys & Girls Club in town. Thank you Hilton for being a valued partner!"
