"i brought my dog to them a few years back during covid for her coughing that had been going on for a little bit. i was told she had allergies and to give her benedryl. no tests just charged for an office visit. after a bit of it still happening i took her to another vet and found out she had heartworms. while it would have been caught at her next checkup, the longer dogs have them the harder it is to get rid of them. she made a full recovery and is negative now, but it really bugs me that it could have been handled well before it was."

"After boarding diabetic cat for 2 days in medical boarding during which time the people responsible for her care failed to notice she was not eating my cat staggered and collapsed immediately after getting home. I called Smith to ask if she was doing this while in boarding and was told she was fine. I rushed her to emergency clinic where I was told her electrolytes were imbalanced and she was severely dehydrated. This condition did not occur in the 30 minute drive home from Smith Animal Hospital. I was quoted $3500 to admit and treat. I found another vet to board at only to have Smith provide information to the new vet that my cats had been exposed to toxoplasmosis and were unvaccinated none of which was true. Do not under any circumstances recommend boarding any animals at this clinic. In reply to please contact us. The rabies certificate for 1 cat who has been seen there since July/ August 2022 was provided in the form of a paper copy at her first appointment. For the 2nd cat her rabies certificate was emailed to Smith Animal Hospital on Jan 27, 2023. Not one word in all these months about we have no vaccination certificates for your cats. When I say I have been sick and my doctor is testing me for toxoplasmosis someone at Smith Animal Hospital turns that into my cats have been exposed to toxoplasmosis and provides that misinformation to another vet. I will not be calling to discuss what could only be generously described as lack of attention to detail and at worse incompetence that resulted in harm to my cat and false information being provided to another vet. You have permanently lost my business."

"Sick to my stomach, they administered HUNDREDS of dollars of medication to my dog without ANY heads up. They should have called to let me know they have NO idea how to deal with a high energy dog so I could have made appropriate arrangements for him to be cared for properly so he would not have needed to be literally drugged. Anyone with Dutch Shepherd experience should have known the proper procedure of dealing with a high energy working breed instead of keeping him in a coma and charging me hundreds of unexpected expenses for his torture. Please please be warned they they do NOT work with working breeds!! The lack of communication, the lack of any knowledgeable front desk staff, and lack of regard has me absolutely sick that I trusted them with my dog"

"We went today to let our 15yo cat go. I have never dealt with such a kind team of vets. If you need to help your pet over the rainbow bridge, go there. Your heart will feel less alone. I would give 10 stars of I could."
