"Neat geological site. You can avoid the mud if you try. About a 1/4 mile walk. Take your kids and to the Lake Jackson sink hole. That's where the lake went."

"Much longer and more interesting hike when the lake is drained. It's been approximately 13 weeks since the last dry down. Not a lot of shade and the insects were very loud!! Lol. We turned back quickly. We took the route from the Faulk Rd landing."

"Really awesome place to visit right about now! Usually, there’s a lake but a sink hole has opened back up and drained most of the lake. It’s the first time it’s “drained down” in 10 years! You’re able to walk all the way around the sinkhole too! Definitely worth the trip out. I’d recommend wearing boots or a show you don’t care to get muddy. Although you can traverse the path with out getting too muddy. Awesome experience for sure!"
