"The food was perfect and a decent price for how much you get!! The service was top-tier I ordered the French toast was so decorative and it tasted phenomenal, and the atmosphere was very family friend, the servers were very attentive and my drink was never even close to empty, they were always very sweet and have a smile on their faces!! I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a classic breakfast and/ lunchtime experience with family or by yourself!!"

"The atmosphere here is great, and the place is very clean. I am a huge desert connoisseur, and just ordered a couple of the cheesecake squares in the display. They must have been a week old, fallen apart, and would get an F by any taste tester. $12! This is totally unacceptable. So many restaurants and shops display beautiful deserts, but then you realize they have been there forever. It's almost impossible for a customer to get a fresh desert because owners do not realize the value of repeat business by refusing to let their products sit. See, I can come get a desert a few times a week, because they are incredibly fresh, or never come back again because the owner compromised to save food cost. However, who wants a cake or desert several days old? We pay full price; we want a desert fixed that day. Hopefully, the owner learns from this review. I can never trust the deserts here again, unless they are now marketing that their deserts are baked and served fresh daily."

"I had an excellent breakfast here of chicken & waffles! The chicken was perfect and pre-sliced in a lovely presentation. The waffle was nice and thick as it should be and not like the skinny waffles at many other places. I ordered my waffle extra toasty and it held up through the meal perfectly! I also enjoyed delicious caramel latte. I am a local but I had a mini-vacay feeling eating here this morning and that’s what I was hoping for! I am looking forward to many more little escapes at Black Rose Cafe & Bar! UPDATE : Went on a date night with the hubby and had another great experience! He got street tacos and I got the cheeseburger. So thankful the owner’s chose Locust Grove to open their restaurant!"
