"The picnic area was really nice and maintained. And the history of the bridge is awesome. We had a blast looking around."

"Bridge has had a large gate added to both ends since my last visit about 10 years ago. It’s sad this is necessary to prevent vandalism, but very disappointing to not be open on a Saturday afternoon. Another family was there just before us and seemed equally sad to find closed."

"A really nice connected park with access to the creek and plenty of space for recreation. The bridge waterfall and a beautiful tree that rises right above the fall makes for good pictures. Wake will send you to the other side of the creek and there isn't much there to look at. Drive a bit further to the park road a short clip from the road they send you to."

"What a beautiful little piece of history! It is a shame they had to bar off the front of the bridge due to graffiti, though. It would have been wonderful to be able to walk across it with my children. I wish people would just leave historical things alone, instead of vandalizing them. Nonetheless, My children and I had a wonderful picnic lunch on the stone tables with their grandma here. We enjoyed stopping by and seeing something historical, and a little creek was absolutely magical for them to play in!! We will definitely be back here during the summer with swimsuits! What a fun little waterfall! I think they would have stayed there all day throwing sticks and twigs into it and watching them sail down the creek if I had let them. We probably spent a good 2 hours here, just playing around in the beautiful natural scenery. We will definitely be back again!"
