"One of the only authentic vegetarian Indian restaurants in the Atlanta area. You cannot go wrong on any of the dishes*. The tomato soup is a must have. The onion and spinach, pakora and Bombay Bhel appetizers are extraordinary. Any Dosai is a winner. The House Special Thali is a great way to experience the unique Indian cuisine. *One recent phenomenon is that the food is so much spicier (hot) that recent years. Unfortunately the servers and staff are unapologetic about the increased spiciness. We have a pretty high spicy threshold and Madras has exceeded it. We still eat there because we love it but have limited our orders to the mildest menu items we can find. Recommended with a caution."

"We have been to Madras Mantra many times and have never left disappointed. Dosas were flavorful and the sambar, chutneys and curries were equally good. Vegetable pbiriyani was also tasty and had the right amount of spices. Badam halwa, Rasamalai, Kulfi, and Lassi were also delicious and the rasamalai was a kids favorite. The portion sizes are huge and the staffs are always friendly. This place is a must if you crave for authentic South Indian food!"

"This location has better quality and taste of food than one in Decatur. The masala chai is just amazing and highly recommended. The onion rava masala dosa and mini idlis were delicious too. We would definitely recommend this place."

"The vegetable biryani was so delicious! Full of flavor. The perfect amount of spice. I enjoyed the potatoes in the rice. It was nice eating it as the weather is getting cooler. I can feel my body radiate warmth from the spices after eating."

"The food here is pretty decent. We ordered the chilly paneer as appetizer. The quantity was okayish. The dish had more bell peppers than paneer though. Then ordered the chole bhature and the Thali. The chole was really yummy and cooked in the north Indian style which I loved. The bhature were decent size and fluffy and was served hot. The Thali had a good variety with an adequate quantity. It had 2 curries, puri, rice, variety rice, sweet, raita, papad, vadas, sambar and rasam. Reminded me of home. The ambience could have been better though. They do offer a lunch buffet which I will try next"
