Contreju Jamaican Restaurant

"The food was so good it didn't leave the parking lot and I didn't get to take a picture . I ordered th brown stew chicken it was falling off the bone the flavor was amazing. Rice and peas were good and slightly sweet. Me and my baby fought over them plantains! I've tried other jamaican spots and no place can top contreju. Aside from the food the staff was pleasant , transaction was easy and although the food was done before I could turn around and sit, it was piping hot and delicious!"

"I ordered a large oxtails for $30 plus and my sides(rice/peas/plantain) outweighed my main dish 10/10 would not recommend if you're craving Jamaican food"

"Called ahead inquired abt the soup of the day, I was chicken which is what I wanted. Got there, older lady standing behind the swing door just looked at me. She asked what I wanted I said the souo, but there were no prices on the counter menu. She asked again what I wanted. I said the same thing. I said how much is the soup, she $5 small, $10 large. I got the large. When I finally opened it when I got to work..the amount of grease on the top was disgusting! Soup just floating in grease! I couldn't eat it."

"So this is a nice family Jamaica owned restaurant. The food did not mess. It was on points. I had jerk chicken, and a beef patty with some juice. Meat was falling off the bone. Perfect temperature a nice spot to grab something quick & thoroughly cooked with authenticity."
