"I ordered a strawberry shortcake for lunch and the owner/manager has the audacity to allow their employees to pack an order the size of a Reese's cup and charge you 2.99 for it. Absolutely ridiculous! Customer service was good for takeout, but.,..."

"Will leave the phone off the hook constantly. If you can get through, they pick up then lay the phone down so the line stays busy. This was a much better restaurant before it went bankrupt and changed their name."

"It’s an old place, but it’s a bbq place. We were recommended to try this place to see if we wanted them to cater our daughters upcoming wedding, since the wedding will be in Roanoke. I had the half bbq chicken. The flavor was there but the chicken was very dry and tough. The outer skin was dry and like leather. Way over cooked. The slaw and stew was okay. My wife got the bbq pork platter, the meat was diced and only had inner meat flavor. No smoked flavor at all. The kitchen area was filthy. You could see it from the front counter. There were many to people total inside eating and the waitress only took our order and brought out the food. Never one time came back to see if we needed anything. Not even to refill our drinks. When I went to pay the bill I told the young lady that it was not good. The only thing she ever said was I think I am going to cry and the total I had to pay. Not once said how was your meal or your service. Don’t think I’ll be using them for the wedding. First time and last time eating there. So if you are passing through Roanoke, AL and your hungry, I wouldn’t recommend it."

"Very good! Hubs and I were in town doing business on a Monday and we wanted to eat local. It seemed everything was basically closed but the chains. We passed by JB’s and there were a ton of cars so we decided to pull in. Mind you, I am not a BBQ fan, but my husband is. I had the lunch special, hamburger steak, purple hull peas, macaroni salad, fried okra, cornbread and peach cobbler. My husband got a chopped pork plate with all the fixin’s. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. You won’t be disappointed."
