About the Business

Chesapeake Family Medical Center

Chesapeake Family Medical Center, located at 717 3rd Avenue in Chesapeake, Ohio, is a health institution that follows the Primary Care Medical Home model of providing healthcare to the community. The center is part of Family Medical Centers, which has multiple locations including FMC Aid, FMC Ironton Campus, FMC One-Stop, FMC Proctorville, FMC South Point, FMC Rock Hill, and FMC Nancy’s Place.

At Chesapeake Family Medical Center, a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff work together to ensure comprehensive and continuous medical care for patients, with the goal of maximizing health outcomes. The institution invites bids for Behavioral Health Technology Equipment and is committed to improving the lives of the community.

Family Medical Centers, including Chesapeake Family Medical Center, accept all forms of insurance, offer sliding fee scales for self-pay patients, and never refuse care due to inability to pay. The institution began offering medical care in 1969 and has since expanded to eight medical centers across Lawrence County, providing experienced and affordable healthcare services. Patients are assured that they will be cared for just like family at Family Medical Centers.

"What you guys are going to put my friend through is traumatic. What psychologist in their right mind would force a patient to stop their meds cold turkey knowing they have suic*dal tendencies? If she d*es I am suing. You guys are going to k*ll her."

"Most caring doctors office I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Everyone’s always nice, I always feel cared for and taken care of mentally, emotionally and physically. I would not go anywhere else in this tristate for a doctor. You guys are the best!"

"I tried calling this practice a few weeks ago to check on a family member whom I had been given consent by to do so. Whomever answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I would highly reconsider using this organization when choosing a medical practice. It is clear by the interaction I had with this agency that patient care is not a priority and clearly neither is bedside manner."
