"I really needed an emergency vet, they seemed to be more about the money. When it turned out all I needed was money for an office visit. My fur baby was ok just a little stoved up."

"*KENNEL BEWARE* We have been taking our dogs to the kennel here for many years. Everyone is polite and take good care of our dogs. We also use them for routine maintenance for our dogs as well. We went on vacation last week and left our 4 dogs again here. Got a call that one of our dogs had a cough and gave him antibiotics while we were out of town. Came to pick them up after we got back and our other 3 dogs were sick, won't eat and lethargic. Kennel cough. Didn't tell us that it was highly contagious and keep our dogs separate, instead told us they ate fine there and but I could tell they weren't right when I picked them up. Called the vet about it and they gave us meds for the other 3. Asked for a refund of the $110 that we paid for them since it happened there. No they say, we try and keep our space clean sometimes this happens is what I was told. Not happy with that and now we are taking our animals elsewhere. We have spent lots and lots of money here but the one time it was their fault we can't even get our $110 back. Great customer service (sarcasm)!"

"I took my male cat, Goatee in on a Friday afternoon, because I could tell that he wasn't acting himself. He saw the Dr. Janice. I was told that Goatee had a fever due to a sinus infection coming on. He was prescribed an antibiotic and I was told that he needed to take it for nineteen straight days. I was going to be out of town for the weekend, so I boarded him there so he could receive his medicine and also the care that he needed. When I picked him up on Monday afternoon, I was told that he hadn't been eating and was still running a mild fever. I was told that it was just due to the fact that he hadn't been boarded before and that he would get back to normal. Goatee woke me up Monday around midnight with pathetic sounding meows. He also couldn't stand. I called the emergency hotline, and was told that he needed to see a 24 hour vet immediately. I found a medvet in Columbus, OH and my son and I left immediately. On my way to Columbus, I went by a medvet in Canal Winchester. They diagnosed him with something completely different than a sinus infection. They also said his right ear was completely clogged. Riverbend should have seen this if they were taking care of Goatee. I kept him at the Medvet in Canal for treatment and started home back to Gallia County. On my way home, I got a call that Goatee had went into cardiac arrest and they were performing CPR. He didn't come back. We buried Goatee on Tuesday. We was the most loving cat anyone could ask for. Because of Riverbend's lack of knowledge and care for my cat, he died. I went to them only asking for help, because of knew something wasn't right. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor and could not help him. Obviously, this doctor is not credible either. I only hope, by reading this, that this will not happen to you and your beloved family member. If I could put zero stars, I would."

"This is a great vet! Our dog Hunter was having problems over this past weekend, lethargic, not eating barely drinking, rapid breathing and just overall sick, I called Riverbend yesterday morning hoping to get him in to be seen and they said to come in that morning, turned out that he was sicker than what we thought, the vet did bloodwork on him and came out to talk to us, I really respect him because he laid it all out on the table and didn't try to sugarcoat anything, and none of them ever tried to persuade us in any decision, after all of that it turned out that he had complete kidney failure and he gave us options on treatments but also gave us the likely outcome of them, we ultimately decided that we didn't want him suffering and ending up making the hardest choice that we've ever had to make, and through it all the vet doctor and all of the assistants was very caring and sweet and very compassionate to us and Hunter, and treated Hunter with the respect and dignity that he deserved, even called him by name and petted him when they came into the room before the last few moments, we will forever be thankful to them all and they all have earned our trust and respect! In the future when we decide to get another dog we will be making Riverbend our regular vet, they are incredible at what they do and I will forever recommend Riverbend to anyone who needs help with their small furry family member"
