Days Inn by Wyndham Rome Downtown

"BEWARE!! THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!! My boyfriend and I stayed the night January 30, 2024. Because I've had a prior experience with bed bugs years ago, I check hotel mattresses immediately upon arrival. Lo and behold, as soon as we lifted it there was a bed bug and droppings. We immediately went to the front desk and asked for a refund and were advised we'd have to wait for the Asst manager, Patrick, to come in the next morning and the best they could offer was switching us to a different room. We reluctantly agreed because it was already late after an entire day's worth of driving and now our money was tied up with Days Inn. Long story short the hotel accused us of lying even though we took pictures in the room and showed them immediately and then refused to compensate us the money we spent on a bed bug infested room. We've contacted the Department of Public Health but for your own safety and well being DO NOT STAY HERE!!"

"Well for starters the only usb port in the room does not work. When i called the front desk all the person could say is "Im sorry, we have block chargers for sale" The luggage stand and light base looks like it came from the beach. Rust stains all over. I'm done with Day Inn and their accommodations. I find this hotel sub par. My wife and I went down the street and bought a wall charger. When we go back to the room, I plugged it into all of the convenient outlets. They were all so loose that I had to use my wallet to get a good connection so our devices would charge. This must be an old property. I hope my C Pap will be able to work. Many other properties that are really close to this one. Please choose one of the other choices."

"As a business traveler I have stayed at many hotels from budget to luxury. The staff at this property was outstanding to deal with. When I made an error the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The service industry is tough, and I know how entitled some people behave. So I give this staff 5 stars for their performance because even though I had made an error, they went the extra mile to make sure I was cared for and my belongings were secure. I would not hesitate to book at this property. To the staff…thank you for your kindness to this overly weary traveler! You are truly wonderful people!"

"I would not recommend a stay here. The front desk staff appeared annoyed by us checking in and scolded my son when he leaned against a barrier looking at their snack selection. The rooms appeared updated but were dirty. There were stains and hair on the towels. The bathtub and floor and bathroom floor were dirty. Breakfast was nonexistent 30 minutes before the service ended. The beds were comfy. The checkout clerk was nice and the maintenance guy was very helpful and nice."

"Gross. Dirty. Chemical smell in room. Stained sheets. Filthy ac unit. Room seemed like the floor was slanted. Desk was falling apart. Management needs to do a thorough cleaning and review of the condition of these rooms. The one good thing was that the staff was friendly. Will not stay here again."
