"The veggie dumplings tasted like straight mustard oil. If you've ever smelled mustard oil you know it's freaking nastay. How do you mess up dumplings. For $16?!?"
"I went to try the restaurant for the first time and was negatively surprised when my dish arrived with a sauce on the side that I hadn't ordered. I went to the counter to request a switch to the correct sauce (honey mustard), and to my surprise, they said they would only replace it if I paid $2 for the sauce. I understand that in any restaurant in the United States, there is usually no charge for this. Such a petty attitude made me not want to return to the restaurant. Now I understand why there are so many negative reviews. For something so simple, they lost a customer. Is it worth thinking so small, or would it be worthwhile to please the customer with something simple and essentially free? I leave the question to the restaurant owner."
"Disappointing Dining Experience I recently visited Gu's dumplings and, unfortunately, it was a letdown from start to finish. The ambiance was lackluster, and the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested, and it took an eternity to get any attention. As for the food, it was a disaster. I ordered the dumpling for my daughter, and it arrived with spicy source. I request to switch to non spice and Lian refuse without paying for the source. It was evident that the kitchen lacked attention to detail, and the flavors were completely underwhelming. I expected much more for the price I paid. They even added food color to dumplings instead of using fresh vegetables. To add insult to injury, when I raised my concerns to the server, they brushed them off without offering any solutions or apologies. It's safe to say I won't be returning, and I advise others to think twice before choosing Gu's dumplings for their dining experience."
