He was able to communicate with me and others. But because the hospital made some very costly mistakes, they covered them up by deeming him incompetent. My husband is forever damaged. Beware with your loved ones at this facility. My husband barely got out with his life."

"I recently had a disappointing experience at Select Specialty Hospital and feel compelled to share my thoughts. One of the main issues I encountered was the uncomfortable room temperature. The rooms were incredibly hot, and to my surprise, plug-in fans were not allowed. This made my dad’s stay on a vent quite unpleasant, especially during the warmer days. What struck me even more was the demeanor of most of the staff. They appeared rude and acted as if performing their job duties was a burden. It was disheartening to witness their lack of professionalism and genuine care for the patients. Many of them seemed more interested in their cell phones than attending to the needs of those under their care. Regrettably, there was an incident where a patient was left lying in their own waste. This is simply unacceptable and demonstrates a severe lapse in basic care and hygiene standards. To make matters worse, when I tried to bring attention to this issue, it took over an hour for someone to finally arrive and address the situation. Such a delay is unacceptable in a healthcare setting. However, I must acknowledge that there were a couple of bright spots among the staff who displayed compassion and dedication. These individuals truly cared about their patients and went above and beyond to provide a positive experience. Their efforts deserve recognition, but unfortunately, they were overshadowed by the majority of the staff who lacked professionalism and empathy. Overall, my experience at Select Specialty Hospital was far from satisfactory. The uncomfortable room temperature, the discourteous behavior of most staff members, the negligent incident with a patient, and the prolonged response time to requests for assistance all contributed to a disappointing stay. It is my hope that these issues are addressed promptly to ensure a better standard of care for future patients."
