Red Roof Inn Acworth - Emerson/ LakePoint South

"Let me start by saying i have a trucking buisness and sleep in hotels about 3 weeks out of a month. I cant afford expensive rooms and i dont expect perfection. What i do look for is a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. First impressions are everything and ours wasn't good. We used a 3rd party to book our room and when we went to check in we were told we needed to pay for a room again because the 3rd party was having a system issue and she wasn't gonna get her money from them for 24 to 48 hours. (I use the word "told" but in actuality she SCREAMED it at us). We showed her our confirmation and that we paid and she continued to yell at us and tell us she didn't care she wanted her money now. My husband called the place we reserved it through and they said they would call her and straighten it out and they did. To say she was rude was an understatement. By the time we finally got into our room we had seen several individuals that appeared to not be of good character and we saw lots of shady dealings going on. My first impression of the room was it looked clean but not 10 minutes later we started seeing roaches crawling the walls. That's where I end my review because what else needs to be said. Horrible expierence all the way around. Oh and almost forgot, breakfast was 2 pieces of white bread in a bag."

"I got placed in room on top of machinery room. Talk about vibration! Next morning I went to get breakfast, I couldn't get back in my room to get my stuff. I went to receptionist. She said she had reprogrammed key but it still wouldn't work. I went to a maintainable gentleman (looked like the manager of property) amd he couldn't understand why i wanted iny room! He finally unlocked but I had to prop door open to get my stuff out. Would not recommend this place.."

"Save your money. Mr. Patel will raise his voice if you don't understand things that weren't previously discussed prior. By raising voice and giving attitude. My partner had to go in for me because I refuse to argue with anyone. Had to walk away to de-escalate the issue. Switched up his tune when my partner went in for me instead. Refused to have attitude with him and stopped yelling. I paid for my room over the phone. Asked the person on the phone will I have to pay anything upon arrival. She had said no not once. But twice. I went onto my bank and noticed I hadn't gotten a 70.49 back in my account after that transaction. So my partner had to pay an additional 70.49 on top of what I had paid for over the phone. They refused a refund. Corporate allows managers to raise their voice at customers and their behavior is discarded like it didn't happen. I was very confused. I take full accountability of that. But him raising his voice is embarrassing as a manager. Apperently I'm not the only one he's done that to. Given reviews. It's common. Upon walking in our hotel we saw a couple of little friends. A dirty toilet and a room not worth paying that much for. Photos are below. Just save your money. Gave 2 stars because its next to a waffle house."

"Has truck parking in lot at top of hill. Easy to find, right off Interstate. Check in was quick and efficient. Has overnight staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Waffle house next door."

"Rooms smelled clean as we walked in, but the floors were filthy, and they had dispensers for soap, lotion, shampoo, and body wash. However, to get the the product to come out was difficult, and you barely got enough to wash your hands. The grounds were clean. The noise of the child running overhead was annoying... which is not the inn's fault, but maybe carpet upstairs would be better. The beds"
