Taichi Bubble Tea Downtown

"Ordered spicy miso and some pineapple bubble tea. The best thing I can say about the miso is that the meat was good. Overall however the ingredients were of low/poor quality and the broth was not particularly good either. The broth tasted gritty and was way too salty (did they just use a flavor packet and water? Maybe a bit of soy sauce?). The corn seems to have been from frozen and the noodles tasted as if they’ve been previously freeze dried or otherwise reconstituted (more like top ramen than fresh ramen for certain). Egg was cold when I tried to bite into it. Ramen was warm not hot. (It was somewhat spicy however so win there I guess?) Sad because I wanted to try something diff here on this visit and compared to other eateries it was a huge let down. Stop in for bubble tea (that was good at least), maybe the poke bowls are better, otherwise my rating is to skip this spot."

"So good, we had to come back the next day! We stumbled onto Taichu Bubble Tea while looking for a good ramen place in Chattanooga, and they did not disappoint. No matter what fish you choose you can't go wrong, and don't forget to pair it with a delicious variety of bubble tea."

"This place would not be 4 stars in California but since its in Tennessee, Ill make it 4 stars because of the lack of places here that serve bubble tea. I searched up "boba" and this was one of the only 2 places here that served it. The ambiance was actually pretty nice with its wooden interior and cute decor. You place an order at the self serve kiosk which was convenient. I ordered a small/med green milk tea with boba and it came out to $5.90 before tip...talk about LA prices. The tea did not taste like tea at all, just sugar water. But the boba was surprisingly okay because it was sweet and chewy. But tbh i only ended up drinking 30% of my cup and discarded the rest of it."

"Review is for the poke only. I eat poke all the time so I know good quantity and quality when I see it. This was not a great quantity for price. Heads up: They charge an additional $1.50 for raw ingredients like salmon and tuna which brings the total for a two protein bowl to $15.50 which is pretty average. The size of the bowl was disappointing. The bowl was like a “small”. I got two proteins and my partner got one protein but we had the same amount of meat.. actually it seemed that she had more? The consistency between bowls is not great. In addition I didn’t get some of the other toppings that I requested on my fill out sheet. They forgot my avocado and who knows what else. In total I won’t be back for poke, but I’m not saying you shouldn’t. Def give it a try because maybe it varies by whomever is preparing the bowl. 3/5 for me."
