"I brought in a pair of sunglasses to return for repairs and had the hard case around them. I needed a box for it and I understand for paying for that and it was $4.50 which is reasonable. I look at my total and the box was $12 b/c they added $3.50 for packing materials which I didn’t need any b.c my glasses were in a small box and had a hard cover and another $3.50 for packing service (he said that was a service charge for putting the glasses in the box and taping. Listen, I don’t care about $7 but it is the principal of it; this is how they get extra money for nothing and I won’t go back (unless I already have a box and taped). It didn’t help that the clerk was rude as anything and confrontational. I asked him to explain these 2 random charge and he was totally defensive and said “so you don’t want the box”. The manager came over and he was very pleasant and explained this is how all the UPS places operate and I said that is the problem; you shouldn’t be charging for things for no reason. I told him at Fed-ex they will tape up and if a package needs package material they let you know and not just add it automatically on the sale. He said, well that is how UPS does it. I won’t go back to this location again and will only go back to one if I have it prepackaged. I went from paying $11 for shipping to a total of $23 just to add a small box."

"5 stars for Parkaire UPS store and here’s why: I’m a single mother with an infant so traveling to do errands is hard enough because I have to set up the stroller etc just to drop off an Amazon return let alone risk crying. Parents understand. So when I get around to drop off my return I first went to UPS store closest to me which is the East Cobb one on Johnson Ferry Rd by Chic-fil-A. It was extremely frustrating to be told by the one working employee there that Amazon return systems are down. He tried three separate scanner guns on my return, one from each register, but none would read the Amazon QR code provided and he said it’s been like that all day. So I had to leave, drive around to another ups store or contact Amazon to change my QR code to another return liaison. Hassle. Like I don’t have other things I need to do. So... I packed up the stroller, put baby back I’m his car seat carefully so not to wake him from his nap, and put the package back in the car then went to this UPS store on Lower Roswell by Kroger. When I told the UPS employee how Johnson Ferry/East Cobb store scanners apparently aren’t picking up Amazon barcodes for a return he literally laughed out loud and then said to me “that’s impossible. Somebody is lying to you.” He successfully scanned my Amazon return the first try and took the package. I think I’ll be using this UPS store from now on even though it’s a bit further, I can trust that this store has competent nonjudgmental employees who won’t make simple business dealing awkward. I’m still not sure what that other places employees problem was. It was just a simple Amazon return neatly packed in it’s original packaging the size of a shoe box being dropped off by a mom with a sleeping baby in a stroller."

"I had an extremely good experience with Doug, the manager at the store. I needed to shred some documents and he went above and beyond to help me feel at ease that my documents were safe and protected. The professionalism and care that he has shown in alleviating my concerns is something I have yet to see even in the highest levels of corporate world. Thanks Doug! We are glad your store is is in the neighborhood."
