Pine Mountain Gold Museum

"We've been here several times, this time was on a Sunday and the museum is closed on Sunday. But the trails are open. They are not extra steep or difficult and not very long, but you probably want better shoes than flip flops or sandals. Decent signage about some of the ruins and such, there's a trail map on line and phone service is good in the area. They also have train ride attraction they operate regularly (not Sunday, obviously). And at Halloween the train attraction is "haunted"...we've done that several times, too. If you're around Villa Rica/Mirror Lake, it's worth checking out."

"Disappointed. Went out of the way to visit based on signs I saw in town. It was closed, I assume. No sign on the door. Just mail sitting in front of locked doors and darkened interior. Nothing on the web said it would be closed today, Saturday 9/2/2023. Got there at 2pm, but web said closes at 4pm. Walked around the grounds but lacking description signs. A lot of other people stopped, walked up to the museum, walked around the grounds a little and left. I don't know if I'll pass that way again for another chance."

"The Cinima Feature is currently broken. It would have been nice to hear a little more history before proceeding to the museum. Very light museum, but they are still adding additions. The gem collection is pretty cool. Great Park outside. Didn't get to enjoy the Train, but maybe next time. $8 each for adults for the Museum kids are cheaper but forgot to ask."
