Zion Christian Retreat

"I hate to do upsetting reviews, but unfortunately, this one must be done. We called Zion in advance to ensure that we would have a spot and Sonya the office lady insured us after getting our fifth wheel measurements that they had a spot for us, but that we could only come there if we reserved in advance, because she reassured us that our big rig would definitely fit we felt comfortable with paying for a spot. That was until we showed up to put our rig in its spot and it was nowhere near big enough when we tried to contact Sonya in the office and give her a call her way of dealing with us, is by texting us back which I find to be very unprofessional. Continuing fourth she tried to put us in two other spots that are big rig would not fit in and I do understand that they do not do refunds, but when you dont fit in a spot after they as an employee assured you that you would I find it their responsibility that we could not stay , not only that but then she had the audacity to text my husband and speak to him about his wife like I was ignorant. I do not enjoy the way she spoke of me and she says that they are a Christian-based place but I dont think that a Christian woman should speak like that of people. So they charged us 500$ for a spot we couldnt fit our rig in because of Sonya which I think is a scam on their end if thats how they intend to do business."

"Our family had a wonderful time! Playing at Noah's landing, playing at the beach and fishing at the ponds. Our daughters rented a rustic cabin and the bathroom addition was very very nice!! We stayed at the rv park and rented a golf cart to travel back and forth. The grandkids LOVED it! The shower house was wonderful and spotless."

"My husband and I stayed at this campground for 8 months, we were here for his work. This is the most quiet, peaceful campground I’ve ever been to. I especially loved all the wildlife I would see daily, and anytime of day that I would come and go. There’s an abundance of beautiful deer, turkey, ducks, etc. The land is beautiful with walking trails around the lake, you can fish, or take a paddle boat/kayak out on the lake(rental fee)they have a couple of ponds you can also fish from. There’s a playground for kids, a bath house and a laundromat on sit and you also have WI-FI. They also have cabin rentals and a huge pavilion that can be rented for activities. Throughout the year they have lots of fun events they will post up on a board at the bath house. This place is dog friendly, and they do ask you have your pet on a leash and pick up after it to keep the property nice and presentable."

"We had the most wonderful time at Zion! It was very peaceful. The guests already at the campground were super kind and friendly. We were in the site right by the bathhouse which made doing laundry and being able to take a shower very convenient. The laundry facilities were superb and reasonably priced. There were trails for hiking, the zip line was a lot of fun for my 8 year old. Unfortunately my 6 year old did not weigh 60 lbs to be able to ride. Be sure when coming into the park to use the back entrance as the hill going down into the campground is very steep and windy. We had a 42’ fifth wheel and while very nerve wracking to get into the campground with the narrow roads, we made it and it was a wonderful stay!"

"This is one of my favorite places to go. It is beautiful here. My boys love to go fishing at the various ponds and lakes. I almost hate to give a review because it is almost like our little secret. When we go, there are very few people here. It is quiet and a place to get away. The whole area is well maintained. The fish are always biting. There is a small beach area. It is very nice bathrooms, a covered shelter, and a trampoline in the water. There are kayaks and SUPs available to rent. They also have cabins that can be rented."
