"This is my third time being back and I'll return again! The food is really good and not overpriced. Our server was just ok, BUT, the rest of the staff (including hostess) had no problems stepping in to ensure glasses got refilled! Please don't be upset with the picture. It was already mostly eaten lol"

"I was in the area and decided to search restaurants nearby. This place was 8 min away. I walked in and instantly enjoyed the ambience. The staff was nice and gracious and greeted us very welcoming. I ordered some honey butter bisquits and the fried chicken with fries. The food was so good. It was fresh and very flavorful. The portion size was very good for the price. The waiter was extremely nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. He help assisted me and my family with ordering based on his favorite choices . I can’t wait to visit this location again and ordered different things on the menu due to the great experience i had visiting. Kudos to the staff can’t wait to return."

"I have eaten here 3 times. The first time was for my niece’s graduation. It was a very large party. The food was really good and the service was excellent. I paid the entire almost $700 bill and I can understand charging an 18% service charge for large parties. However, I ate here the other night with my 3 kids. One was an 11 month old and I was charged an 18% service charge! I don’t even understand what this service charge is for as I was already paying over $100 for my meal and they still expect you to tip your waiter as the receipt that you sign will come with a recommendation as to how much to tip your waiter so the service charge clearly isn’t going to the wait staff. That is unacceptable and sounds more like a windfall to the restaurant owner. I ordered the lamb chops. I had ordered these before when I had eaten there, and they were so good that I decided to order them again the other night; however, this time they were tough and chewy. I had even ordered a to go plate of the lamb chops for my husband before receiving my order because I was so impressed on how delicious they were the first time. I would be apprehensive about ordering them again just because of the difference in taste from my separate visits. I also ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken tasted amazing but the waffle was too sweet and tasted like cinnamon. I would’ve preferred a regular waffle and not the sweet potato waffle. The service charge will deter me from returning as I have eaten at some of the finest restaurants having lived in Chicago and they don’t take advantage of their customers in this way."

"Great food. Lamb chops were excellent. Pancakes are thick and buttery. Our server by the name of Cam was very knowledgeable of the menu and even sold us a bag of restaurant homemade grits. Get there by 11:30 on Sunday because the crowd fills up fast!!"
