The Heron at River Island Apartments

"Having moved to Augusta from the UK. I was very apprehensive about where to live and finding a complex that was had great amenities. Johncee has been a great help from first discussing floor plans to assistance with all stages of the move in process, given my short time frame this all had to be done within 7 days! The entire front office team are friendly and welcoming helping out with any issues and providing updates via social media of any food trucks coming to the complex which are all great. Amenities, they have a well equipped gym and spacious clubhouse. The pool is superb I just hope it stays open in the southern cooler months."

"I have lived at the Heron for almost a year now. I have enjoyed my stay for the most part. The employees are very kind and helpful. We have had a few maintenance issues but they have been fixed quickly. One recommendation is to bring back the cold brew coffee in the office. This was a really nice after work treat that I have been missing. One downside is with more residents living in the apartments now, there is more trash left around common areas, dog poop not picked up, etc. However, I do enjoy the events they have for the residents and have seen an increase in events as more residents have moved in."

"I just recently moved from Wyoming to Augusta a couple weeks ago, and had to secure a place to live online rather than in person, and boy I am so glad I went the direction I did. Of course with shopping online you're a bit apprehensive with whether you picked the right place or not but I am throughly glad I went with The Heron. The staff has been super friendly and helpful from the start, especially with coordinating everything via phone call & email prior to move in. I love the apartments, ammenities and surrounding area. I love how quiet & clean it is and I love what they do for their community. What a great place to live!"

"I moved to the Augusta area from Atlanta, and everyone at The Heron made the transition a smooth one. From the resident staff to the ease of getting my utilities changed over, it was seamless. The apartments are beautifully decorated and modern, maintenance tickets are completed in a timely manner, and the community itself is quiet, a welcomed change from the hustle and bustle of a large city. The community events offered are also top notch. It's nice to come home from a long day at work and have the option to walk to a food truck to grab a bite to eat versus cook/clean. I'm looking forward to getting to know my neighbors in the coming months as well. 10/10 recommend. Edit: to address the previous reviews complaining about price, you've obviously never lived in a large city. I think this community is reasonably priced for the square footage you get, the quality of the appliances (great new Electrolux washer and dryer, full sized fridge, etc.), and the overall aesthetic this community provides. Can I occasionally hear my neighbor? Yep. But that's what you get when you live in an apartment. If you're looking for complete peace and quiet, I suggest you purchase a single family home."

"It's been great pleasure to be part of this beautiful The Heron community! Our family chose this place before we recently moved to Augusta, just by browsing through the web. At first, I was little bit skeptical about finding our new place virtually, especially in a town where we're not familiar with and don't know anyone here. But after I arrived and seeing this magical place, all my concerns and worries were just flown away. I and my husband (including my kid), we all feel like we are truly blessed to be a part of this community and we just love our new home so much!! I personally love all the amenities that this community offers. Thank you so much for accomodating all our needs and keeping every part of this community clean and safe!!"
