"The man i spoke with on the phone first was very helpful, understanding, and sweet. He then transferred me to a women that could further answer my questions. She was extremely rude. saying things like “i don’t know what to tell you” and basically arguing with me the entire time because i couldn’t understand what the issue was with my financial aid. I was telling her that i couldn’t see what was going on in my account and she was treating me like i was lying saying “i have these records right here at this time and this day etc.” yea that’s very cool but you’re still not answering my question. I was patient with her the whole time as she was making snarky and rude comments. I am obviously calling for help so what is the point of acting like i was supposed to know the answer to these questions myself. This same lady is the reason that i literally cannot fix my financial aid problem i’ve had for months. I don’t know if she thinks that bringing others down makes her look better even though the purpose of her job is to help people. But truly it’s embarrassing how terrible she is at her job. The funny thing about this is that her ego gets in the way with actually getting her job done because guess what… SHE WAS WRONG. but i’ll probably never get this problem fixed until this lady is fired. better luck next year."

"Every time I've had questions/concerns, the employees at the financial aid office have walked me through processes that honestly I should've probably known how to do on my own. They're very efficient with their time. I highly recommend not waiting until the last minute to call or go in person, because this will save you waiting behind a long line of other students."

"I understand there are complications to the financial aid process, but truly, this office has seemingly done everything in their power to not respond to emails, not verify important details when they do respond, and resort to reminding you to “monitor the FA status for updates” when they’re not sure how to help you. Either they’re understaffed, or underperforming, but extremely unsatisfactory work on their end. Seconding what someone else said about filing a complaint with the FAFSA website. Hopefully something changes because the FA office has been pretty disappointing in mine and seemingly many other students’ experiences"

"Called and was on hold for almost an hour before I did the "call back" option. Was called back about 30 minutes later.. No biggie. This is where I have an issue. Asked a representative to repeat a question, and I was hung up on. She didn't look up any of my info, my ID number, my name, phone number, address..Anything! Told me that financial aid would be "back up the 3rd week of July". My financial aid STILL hasn't been processed after about 2 months. I understand transfer students (me) , new students, and former students all are in need of financial aid as well.. But the customer service is disgusting, and the lack of care I was given on the phone makes me want to pursue my education elsewhere — even if that means not pursuing the transfer track to UF."

"Anyone having issues please take my advice - Go on the FAFSA website and file a complaint with the Department of Education. If Santa Fe doesn't fix whatever it is in the first phone call, bypass them by filing a complaint. That is the only way to get these people to act. Save yourself the heartache."
