Led by owner and head instructor John Carter, a certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black-Belt with 38 years of experience, the academy offers structured curriculums tailored to the self-defense needs of individuals of all ages and skill levels.

At Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Lexington, we believe that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone, regardless of age, gender, athleticism, or ability. We are proud to continue the legacy of Grandmaster Hélio Gracie, who believed in empowering the weak to defend against the strong. Our programs include beginner adult classes, women's self-defense courses, youth martial arts (Gracie Bullyproof®), Japanese martial arts, and law enforcement defensive tactics.
